Proof Of The Vision Board: The Incredible Story That Got John Assaraf Into The Secret, CNN, And Oprah

UPDATE: John Assaraf’s full Vision Board story over here »

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of visiting John Assaraf in his home in California. When I was there he shared an incredible story that got him into The Secret, CNN, and even Oprah. This story’s nothing short of amazing and will probably have you reaching for the glue so you can make your own vision board.

What you’re going to see here though is what was left out of The Secret. It’s behind the scenes footage with John straight from his home:

But this is just half the story. John has decided to share the entire story with all the nitty gritty details in an interview over here »

Plus he shares the research he’s done when it comes to visualization and how simple tools like Vision Boards can help you achieve your dreams. Awesome video and I totally recommend you watch it now.

I loved this but my only question is did he buy the house without looking at the back? If he had seen the back before he bought it I find it difficult that he would not have instantly recognized it.

Hi Joe, what may have happened is that John simply forgot about the pic he left on his board. When you place something very non-specific, say the image of a particular house that you saw in a magazine, you’re not likely to remember that exact image or type of house years later. Now a car is different. You might remember that you picked a Mercedes C200. But houses are far more diverse and lack easy labeling. John may remember details like “pool” or “large backyard”, but the exact imagery of the home may be lost to memory. And this could be why he did not realize he had moved into the very house he picked.

This stuff is so true, it does all start with “What do you want” and then an image of it. then a prayer, an intention. and Boom! Amazing Amazing!

This is in answer to Joe’s query.
Some times when we set goals we progressively make plans to achieve them but it is a journey and there are times when you are caught up in the travel of that journey and do not realize that that phase of the journey has ended.
Maybe John bought the house as a progression to his Dream Home but not realizing that it was because it was not intended in his mind to be the finality of his Dream Home search.
This is my opinion as I have achieved certain things in my life and only after looking back that i realized that it was something i set out to achieve years previous and have attained it in retrospect.

So very powerful. In my own life this technique has worked in so many ways. As a boy growing up on a farm in Maryland, I was obsessed with Jacques Cousteau… In the four grade I did not receive my final report card of the year because I had not taken my library book back. The book was entitled “Scuba Diving Southern California”. Now California may as well have been 3 billion miles from my tobacco farm on the east coast but I would sit and stare and day dream for hours on the page with a photo of divers cover in Laguna Beach, imagining myself there. I made no plans to actually go there, I just day dreamed about it. Fast forward many years and through a succession of co-incidences I now live in Laguna Beach only blocks from the site of the picture and have dove there many times…

I was not able to see the video because my connection was playing up; my comment is general. This stuff is very very real; we all practice it everyday of our lives but we just don’t know it. Everything that we see with our two eyes, or that which we call ‘reality’ is the result of a cause, not the cause of a result. It is, therefore, ‘within us and then without’ and not ‘without us and then within’. The society we live in has taught to use the latter; it’s easier, I mean seeing is believing — right. However, according to the universal laws governing man, wrong — very wrong. Here’s the deal, everything has a formula, know it and you’ve cracked the secret. Once that is done you will be so surprised how ‘simple’ the solution was. How your life will change suddenly on its own. It will quite literally have a life of its own, as it were, in exact accordance with the thoughts constructed by the person. Obviously answers don’t just pitch up or, put correctly, unfold whilst you sit on a couch, you have to work real hard. It all depends on your desire to know the ‘truth’ which then sets you free from bondage. Sounds very religious doesn’t it? In fact, it is, because that is where all the answers to all our questions about life are; in the Bible. It’s amazing how that book has been so misunderstood. To crack the formula, that book ought to be read as a book of literature, that way the stigma surrounding it is removed. Once cracked you then get to realise that it’s you, all along, who has been the captain of the ship. All the gains and losses have been created by you ableit unconsiously; that which you have been conscious of you have credited to coincidence. There is no such thing as coincidence or luck for that matter. It’s simple, it’s you who is in charge and has always been in charge. That fact is non negotiable. Either way we are creating something every second of our lives. The big question is;‘Is that which we are creating for our good or not?’ Insofar as Mr Assaraf is concerned, I am sure we know the answer. What I am not sure of is whether he knows the workings of his ‘goodness’ — as it were. Good people, we are powerful. Very very powerful. In closing, for those that feel the urge to want to know more about ‘how the human being works, where we have come from and why we are on this earth’, I have left some clues, in the things that I have said, which you can use to investigate and enrich yourself. I thank you for your time, consideration and patience in reading my small contribution to this column. Thank you.

How awesome to actually see his home, office and the actual vision board. It’s such a simple thing to create one, there’s no reason not to. Then you just have to make the effort to focus on it for a little while daily and manifest what’s on it. Thanks for this cool clip!

Get real people. Please. If you want to know the inside secrets read the book and send me an email. John is amazing but you better know the difference between illusion and reality. John is the best. If you think so…then write the reason why.

Thanks for posting another great blog post Vishen, John is one of my most favorite coaches, love his “having it all” challenge, his part in the Secret movie. While reading John’s book “the Answer” I was enlightened so much that I started my current project for Mastermind Groups Online…from that began http://imindlive.com | the SOURCE for Online Mastermind Groups. I know this works. We’ve been doing the “Vision Board” for over ten years now. The concept originated from a network marketing company called Nikken. It wasn’t called that then..but the concept is the very same. Everything you put on it whether it’s pictures or words…it all comes true! Might not happen when you want it to…but you put your dreams and visions on it and slowly but surely it materializes into reality. Awesome, powerful stuff!

great I love this, this confirms my thought. Life is a dream, The only dream we can control. Once you open your eyes in the morning it’s a new dream that you control. You can live in the fear and let the media control you or live your life(dream) to the fullest. Don’t risk anything don’t get anything. Every day is like a bud at the end of a branch,Always have two direction. ying yang .black white .right wrong .black white.you choose your reality and have to live and accept your choices better of for worse. life is just a big game play it right and have fun before you see game over and had no time to do anything. Live life to it’s fullest and don’t be scared . You are your reality. Peace out lovers

All of this is amazing.…!!! It’s easier, faster and more fun to follow the real people behind the secret. The Hicks. Abraham. They will tell you exactly how it is done. The secret is a good begining but again they still kept ‘the secret’ secret. Whereas Abraham goes far beyond.

There is a beautiful Rumi poem that says:

“The breezes at dawn have secrets to tell, don’t go back to sleep. You can ask for what you truly want, don’t go back to sleep.”

I feel this is a deep whisper from heaven reminding us that Spirit, God, Goddess, Beloved Creator, Loving Intelligence (whatever name you choose) is ready to fulfill our desires. We just have to get clear in the stillness of dawn and ask for what we truly want rather than getting lost in the grind (and “going back to sleep” so to speak… we live in an abundant universe and this life is BEAUTIFUL if we choose it as such!!!

Thanks for sharing this video… beautiful!!!
