As all of you know FinerMinds was set up to bring you the best and latest in personal growth.
But a couple of years ago, something happened to me. I became a dad! My son Hayden is now 2 years old. And my focus shifted a little from personal development to teaching myself to become a better parent.

Hayden, during our family trip to Mexico. At 20 months old.
As I poured myself into books on parenting and early infant development I was struck by just how much material was available on raising kids. But what really impressed me was how far modern research had come. Our schooling systems and methods of parenting have barely caught up.
Did you know…
- all kids are born with amazing genius potential. But they lose this abilities as they get older because our current methods of education underestimate young children and actually starve them of the learning they need.
- all kids are born with high degrees of intuition. But lose these as they get older because parents are not trained in recognizing this ability. This type of training for kids is popular in countries like Japan.
- 2 years olds are capable of reading. 2 month olds are capable of saying simple words like “mommy”. 6 year-olds can run 3 miles in 30 minutes. Our society underestimates the potential of young children. I’ve seen all the above in Philadelphia at the Institute for the Achievement of Human Potential. (more on this later).
Finally, it’s not about pushing kids to excel. Rather it’s about giving kids the support and access to learning opportunities that allow them to harness their natural genius. It’s about understanding that your 2 year old Eas a higher learning capacity than you do. And supporting them in their hunger for knowledge and new experiences.
Education should be fun and exciting. Our modern schools are hopelessly inadequate. When done right, young children LOVE to learn.
With this in mind, I started another blog, called ProjectGiftED where we’ll be bringing you the best in new parenting advice, techniques and methods. This blog will be hosted by Melissa Greczy, one of my partners and someone who is a not only a brilliant parent, but also a highly accomplished entrepreneur and a fellow personal growth junkie.
Check out this video to learn more about how parenting and personal growth go together and the 5 key areas that all parents and families need to focus on in order to raise their kids to their full potential.

Melissa is an amazing mother. One of her kids has even started her own charity (feeding homeless kids in Florida) and the other one is making a breakthrough in music.
Melissa will be sharing some of her insight on FinerMinds so stay tuned for more on parenting.
In the mean time, check out ProjectGifted.com for more on parenting, and raising well rounded, brilliant kids »

Can we help the children who are grown up now like 17/18 years?
Hmmm.…If I had the wildest idea that “Project Gifted“and “Finer Minds“were under the same umbrella.…yipee…I know my instincts and life pattern to homeschool my child is not some imaginary comfort zone!
Yes Resh, they are under the same umbrella. I’m the co-founder of both.
I love Melissa’s work! I’ve started down the same path as you after having two children of my own. It is truly amazing the capacity for genius in every child. I’ve been amazed to see the changes in my boys as I began to learn about this capacity and treat them as the amazing creatures they are. My life’s purpose is to teach other parents about the treasure they have within their four walls and how to awaken their child’s inner-genius. Such an important topic. Thanks for tackling it, Vishen!
This is very insightful but seems so true. We should try to keep there health up as well.
Hi Vishen,
This is such a great resource and thank-you for providing it. My wife and I are planning on having children soon and I’ve always been uncomfortable with the idea of raising our children with the traditional educational system.
I’ve seen what it’s done to me and how it’s limited what’s possible in my own life. To see this sort of development and a blog with these kinds of resources is definitely a nice surprise
Thanks so much for creating and sharing this interesting blog,

My personal theory is that at the subconscious level all brains communicate telepathically. An infant uses the entire brain to feel, understand, react. Then it develops the input/output section which ‘learns’ what we teach it. This small section of the brain thinks that it has all the answers and makes the rules. It stops listening to the rest of the brain and the link to the ultimate fund of knowledge is broken.

It’s so great to hear a message that has been so close to my heart for so long. True genius is the child who ponders the most elemental question that has yet to be resolved — WHY? Many people see this as a phase children go through. In my view it’s a phase that should last forever.
that child is soo! suit and inocent please take care of him he deserve it
this message is not intent to be posted but i have to say this because it came up from my heart
thanks ana
Joy Filled Greetings Vishen! I am so grateful for your decision to create ProjectGifted. As parents we need to remember that our children come in knowing that they are a genius. Society and the education system ‘teaches’ them away from their own inner knowing. We can support our children in an easy and relaxed manner toward living their greatness. I so appreciate your contribution to parents and children.
~Peace
