Raymond Aaron And The Great Polar Race Part 2: Challenging The Impossible

by Editorial Team2

A couple weeks ago we put up the first part of Raymond Aaron's seemingly insane polar race (click here to see it >>). And now we've got part 2 of the series.

More than just the polar race, this mini-movie asks the question, "How much can one person do, if they put their mind to it?"

Throughout history, individuals have continued to amaze people and Raymond Aaron's case is no different. Check out part 2 of this mini-movie and see for yourself:

http://s3.amazonaws.com/finerminds/raymond_aaron/polar_race2.flv

After watching this, I've got one question for you:

If you could be known for just one thing in your life, what would it be?

Let your imagination run wild. It could be anything from being the best parent in the world to climbing Mount Everest in record time. Drop a comment below and share your thoughts with us.

P.S. Stay tuned for part 3 of the movie to find out what happened to Raymond Aaron on this frosty goal.

A Secret Look Behind The Scenes At The Seminar Of The Decade: What Speakers And Authors Do When No One’s Watching

by Vishen Lakhiani1

As you know I recently spoke at Engage Today and that was an amazing experience. Just to be on the same stage as the Dalai Lama and Richard Branson as well as many other people we've featured on FinerMinds like Greg Habstritt, Marci Shimoff, Paul Hoffman, Janet Attwood, and others.

So I spoke about our company MindValley, which is the publishing company behind FinerMinds and some of the work practices we do that take ideas from the personal development world. More importantly, I talked about how these personal growth practices have allowed our company to skyrocket in the last 1 year and become one of the world's most democratic places to work at.

But enough about that. I'm not gonna share the speeches and ideas from the event. What I will share with you is behind the scenes footage that i took with my flipcam (and i know some of my speaker and author friends are gonna blush cause of this). This is a chance for you to actually see Sean Stephenson when he's not being watched by the public, or when Greg Habstritt is flirting with his wife, or when Chris and Janet Attwood are gushing because they just met Richard Branson .

Enjoy!

by Vishen Lakhiani8

Hey guys,

At FinerMinds we're dedicated to giving you the best content out there in personal growth and spirituality. So to get to know you better and bring you more amazing content, we would love it if you could help us out with some feedback. In the quick 1-question poll below, let us know which author or personal growth guru you'd love to see more of.

Who Do You Want To See More Of On FinerMinds?

robert111. Robert Scheinfeld

If you don't remember, Robert has spent over 20 years helping people change their lives through spiritual counseling. His last article on FinerMinds was a bit controversial and caused quite a stir. He talked about the "Human Game" we're all playing and how in reality, we're all infinite beings. You can check out his article over here >>

2. Raymond AaronRaymondAaron

Raymond Aaron is one of the top goal-setting gurus out there. He's helped thousands of people turn their lives around, often increasing their incomes by 2 to 3 times. We just started publishing his Polar Race series on FinerMinds (inspiring or risky? you decide) and one of his latest videos on goal getting involved your "psychic immune system." Have a look here, if you haven't already >>

rick13. Richard Luck

One of the coolest contributors we've had to FinerMinds. He wrote an article about the powers of subliminal messaging and talking to your subconscious (click here to read it) and even offered a free subliminal video that he and Noel Jones creates. Really cool stuff.

4. Janet Attwoodjanet

Janet is a visionary, a transformational leader, and a world humanitarian. Not to mention she's also famous for the creation of the Passion Test with her co-author Chris Attwood. Her most recent contribution to FinerMinds was "The 7 Keys To Living A Passionate Life". If you haven't read it yet, you can check it out here >>

paul5. Paul Hoffman

If music and personal growth could have a love child, it'd be Paul Hoffman. You've probably heard his songs of inspiration and success before and will agree they're amazing (not to mention fun). He wrote an awesome article for FinerMinds a few months ago on the power of music and its connection with meditation and it got rave reviews. If you don't remember, just click here to read his article and get 2 of his audio tracks too >>

6. Sonia Choquettesonia choquette

A top psychic and intuition teacher, Sonia Choquette has spent the last few decades spreading the message of intuition as well as teaching it to over 50,000 people. I recently interviewed her for FinerMinds and I can honestly say that it was one of the best interviews ever. She goes the 3 levels of intuition and gives some really cool exercises to boost your 6th sense. Click here to check out the interview >>

Household Zen: 5 Cool (And Fun) Things You Can Do With The Family

by Gabrielle Lim0

family activitiesHey, thought this might be a cool article to read. The activities are really simple and you're probably thinking, "well, I knew that," but when was the last time you actually did one of these activities?

We lived in a pretty fast-paced, multimedia-connected world and sometimes forget how important quality time with loved ones is. So hopefully these might inspire you to bring back family night.

Reading Minds: How Your Brain Judges Other People’s Thoughts

by Gabrielle Lim4

A super cool video about how our brains work when it tries to understand other people's thought processes. Rebecca Saxe from MIT reveals a pretty amazing discovery, which is that all people have a tiny region in their brains that's responsible solely for judging other people's thoughts.

Rebecca illustrates the growth of this region of the brain by studying it's changes in children. From 3 years-old and onwards, we can see how this area of the brain develops and how their thought processes change.

Zen At The Push Of A Button – Free Holosync Audio Tracks For Better Meditation

by Vishen Lakhiani15

Hey guys,

A couple weeks ago, both Bill Harris and I were speaking at the Engage Today event in Calgary along with the Dalai Lama and Richard Branson.

Screen shot 2009-10-14 at 3.42.21 PM

From left to right: Brad (Centrepointe's CEO), Vishen, and Bill Harris (the genius behind the Centrepointe invention)

I also managed to have breakfast with Bill and his lovely wife.

If you don't know who Bill is, he's the owner and creator of Centerpointe and Holosync. I told him how great of a response our company had with Holosync. Even our COO, Juan, has been using Centerpointe on a daily basis in the mornings and it takes him into states of meditation he's never experienced before. Recently, Juan was able to meditate for 1 hour non-stop for the first time because of this!

Now, given the number of people at my company and all my friends who rave about Centerpointe, I really wanted to make sure all the readers at FinerMinds knew about this CD.

Basically it works like this: by listening to specific sounds engineered by Bill, your brain will go into a deeper state of consciousness. arrow-3d1

To learn more about Centerpointe and to get the free CDs (yes shipped to you for free), click here >>

29 Ways To Create A New Habit That’ll Stick

by Gabrielle Lim2

create new habitsIt's easy to develop bad habits, but when it comes down to the good ones, it's a little bit tougher.

I'm sure most of us have been through a similar scenario. Maybe you've set a new year's resolution for yourself or to accomplish a new goal you needed to create a new habit. Yet, try as we might, we often fall prey to laziness, procrastination, negative self-talk, or disorganization.

You get the idea.

But with a little help (and a few tips and tricks), ingraining new good behavior can become just as easy. Check out this article below from ZenHabits on 29 ways to create a new GOOD habit.

Achieving Zen In The Workplace

by Gabrielle Lim6

zen workplaceWork isn't the first place we think of when we hear the word zen. In fact it can be quite the opposite.

Traditionally, zen, meditation, yoga, or "being present" aren't what you would call your typical career attributes. But this is shifting drastically.

Companies like Google, Apple, are starting to realize the benefits of meditation and personal growth workshops for their employees. Even athletes like Tiger Woods claims that his path to success comes from "staying in the present."

Check out this cool article on the new trends that are taking over the business environment. Maybe you can even show it to your boss and see if the company will sponsor some meditation classes ;)

But if your company isn't as advanced as say Google or Apple are, what are you doing to keep zen at the workplace. Drop a comment below with your tips. I'd definitely love to hear them

Can You Graph Your Personal Growth In A Venn Diagram?

by Gabrielle Lim0

Picture 2I found this really cool post from SoulPancake the other day. They were  venn diagrams of your God or lack thereof. They were all pretty cool and some were even hilarious. It was like grade school math all over again.

But what about when it comes to personal growth? Could you do a venn diagram of your personal transformation?

I bet you could. If you've drawn one, please drop the link of the picture in the comments below. I'd love to see it!!
