Symbols are a very important part of our life. We might not realize it but a company logo or a small emblem can trigger strong emotions or thoughts in us. Everyday, we’re flooded with symbols, such as:
- Lion = bravery, courage, king of the jungle
- The crucifix = Christianity, sacrifice, Jesus
- Dove = peace, hope.
- Shamrock = Ireland, luck, Saint Patrick’s day
If you had to pick one symbol, glyph, drawing, or logo that would represent YOU, what would it be?
Drop a comment below and let us know what your personal symbol is and why. If Bruce Wayne had a bat, what would you have?

I always wear a small chai pendant, the Jewish letters hay-vav, which signify “life.”
My passion in life here on Earth was always and always to feel
like we all are here to be a Family, to live in love and unity, in servise to one another, regardless… That’s why I always wanted to bring people together, around the table, to celebrate LIFE… wherever I go. I did it back in my country, Kiev Russia, and I am going to do it here, in USA… I want to build the House of my dream and call it “International House of Love” and you… are…invited!
A Lion
My symbol is an Owl. The owl is able to see the feintest movement on the darkest night, its vision is profound, it hones in on its prey with utmost precision which for me symbolises seeing through the ‘Veil of Illusion’. Other traits would be watchfulness or awareness combined with calmness, fearlessness, faith; for it sleeps while the day creatures are hunting but it is always alert. It also has the very natural animal trait of working at one with nature; it takes no more than is needed, always being grateful for that which the universe provides, which is evidenced by the fact that it honours itself by always being an owl. I admire this and honour myself by being the best human I can be. My heritage is Australian born with a splash of English, a dash of Irish, a dollop of Canadian Indian and a splodge of Scottish; I am married to a Maltese/Australian and we have three beautiful children. I am my own United Nations and I love All people; How does this make me identify with an Owl…Owls exist in varying forms on every continent, just like we do, they quietly, stealthily go about their business, not harming anyone as they go…it is rare that their passing ever stirs the air…oh to be able to cause such little harm in our walk through the world.
A ram would best describe me because the ram has the horns of a bull, the strength of a bull, can climb mountains and endure harsh weather and has wool as soft as a lamb’s wool. A ram doesn’t stop until he reaches the top with determation and heart!! What I’m saying is-I’m a ram because I can be hard when I need to be and soft at the same time.
I have a Mohican hair style. I’ve had it for about 2 years now. I have it as a reminder that everyday I have to be prepared for the constant battles in my life.
If I ever get a tattoo it will be an excalibur like sword… More fighting I suppose!

A book, a candle and mountain in background: Learning, illuminating the way, challenges to be surmounted.
Mine would be the Chimera. A mystical animal that cannot be defined. It exibits multi-physical characteristics. None has dominance. Just choose what you are comfortable with and you get what you see.
A dolphin .… peace, harmony, freedom, creative intelligence! I wear one on a ring and around my neck on a chain!
My choice would be the mighty and powerful elephant that represents strength, honor, stability, loyalty to family, solitude, stead-fastness, wisdom, dignity, reliability, and patience. Considered a good-luck charm to many. Also called a calm majesty with noble gentleness. I have always had a deep love and attraction to elephants and feel I connect with them on a spiritual level. These are the qualities I strive to emanate, and so I choose elephant as my symbol.
For a long time now, my symbol has been a Butterfly. To me, it represents beauty, growth, change and above all, FREEDOM.
A Butterfly, for beauty, incessant growth, adaptibility to change and freedom!
This is truly one of the best newsletters I receive n a regular basis, and this one, I read every time.
At my age, I have conquered most thing in life more than once, claimed victories, lost and regained, learned that I can rely on me — every time I need to. Finer Minds’ newsletter –to me, is an affirmation of why we all need to be reminded…of life in real time.
I would be a Lilly it looks to be floating along, yet i have strong roots and not as fragile as i look
In fact I never thought of any symbol for myself. It is indeed a really good thing. Now, My thought of my symbol as “Lion wearing a crucifex with dove on its back.
This news letter is helping me a lot. Thank you very much
my logo is a “needle and thread”. I have my own sewing company, but even more than that I spend time helping my son mend his days back together
My symbol is a horse — strong — proud — free spirited. Love your ideas.
As my son-in-law is a graphic artist, I actually did get a personal logo made to my specifications, which I use as my email signature. Based on the saying, “The pen is mightier than the sword,” my logo is of my name, Marjory, in cursive being written by a hand holding a pen. The bottom of the pen looks like a fountain pen, but the top of the pen looks like the hilt of a sword. Underneath is my motto, “The power of thought.”
My symbol would definitely be a sword, it have been my weapon of preferene any time monsters chase me in my dreams. Two swords actually. in my dreams, i am fearless as long as i have my swords.…..
I would be a deer, the baby deer, if you have to do a wildlife rescue and you rescue a baby deer,
You have to bond with it and it has to see you as a mother figure.
If that does not happen, it will die literally of broken heart.
It is the only wild animal who has to be brought up this way.
As love is the greatest thing in my life, I am very much like the deer,
Without love my soul cannot and will not want to go on.
My name, alyaziah is the female name of aljazi, a gazal found in saudi arabia and UAE.
my symbol would be a drop of water. It represents me and the ocean would be god or cosmic consciousness.
it really symbolizes every one i would presume.
a droplet of water from the seas of consciousness
we are all focal points of perception of the cosmic consciousness
the cosmic consciousness = water
drop of water represents the individual person or consciousness
Slightly more than two months ago, I had a very powerful surreal experience — it seemed like a dream then. This happened during my personal inner quest to find the truth to who i am, within me. I was sort of transported to a very ancient Hindu temple, where I was praying escorted by two of the most colourful and beautiful peacocks i have ever seen in my life — making very loud peacock calls in synchronicity, and beside me came a King Cobra. As I was taken aback by its sudden and menacing appearance, I slowly took a couple of steps backwards. However, momentarily, I somehow realized it seemed more benevolent and coiled up with it’s hood open in full glory praying to the same deity in the temple, as I was. Soon I was standing beside it in prayer without any fear whatsoever. It then lead me, as I started to walk out from inside the temple and the two peacocks walked alongside me, flanking me on either side — making even louder peacock calls. As soon as I was on the outer grounds of the temple, I was immediately “awaken”. At that time I didn’t know what to make of it and what if it had any meaning attached or ascribed to future events in my life. Only after my recent pilgrimage to India, did I find the answer. Since then, the symbol of the KING COBRA flanked by two PEACOCKS have been my PERSONAL LIFE SYMBOL for every THOUGHT, ACTION and PURPOSEFUL LIVING in everything i do in my life.
I would have to choose the dove which represents peace and hope for everyone. Seeing a dove would give the visionairy a sense of knowing that what they seek and understand is very real and the fear they may feel can and will become lessened and replaced with courage to go for their dreams and aspirations.
My symbol is a black panther with beautiful big fluffy white angel wings, representing both light and dark, yin and yang, and to be grounded but also to soar and fly.
Lovely!! I also like your profile picture!
The logo I designed for my counselling service is a head with engineering gears where the brain would be. My motto is “Imagine a better life…then build it.” I have come to understand the power of visualization and imagination and couldn’t think of a better way to express this. Your life is exactly what you imagine it to be.
A lighted oil lamp. I am grateful to the Creator who created me and continue to create all of what is in this Universe. My light shines because Someone fill in the oil an lighted m life from within to shine in the dark .It is also inviting others to be still and know that He is in us and outside of us .
I am happy with my symbol.
As of here & now, I would create some type of scroll design. I love the constant movement in the scroll works. The designes remind me of life every changing but the same. I have many loves of nature I’ve always enjoyed butterflies, dragonflies, wild horses, waterfalls, canyons etc. It’s ever changing for me!
The strong desire to finish a room in my basement was met with resistance because there was no obvious reason to do this today and my husband who would have to do most the work wanted to schedule it later. I knew I really wanted it done now. So, I began to do it myself and get help from my friends and finally my husband came to help finish it. Within 2 days, one of our close friends needed a place to stay for the last 4 months of high school when his former support couldn’t let him stay there any more. Sometimes my intuition makes me a bit unpopular until everyone else can see what I could “see” before it happened. Intuition is truly a life saver in many, many ways.
the cross, was considered an insult ‚changed in the third century (constintine)if you dont have it in your heart „, yopu should wear it around your neck,.review on briens book „good ‚its only a failure if you give up
If I had to pick a personal symbol to represent me as an individual, I would pick a Tye Dye Star, all technicolor and prismatic, because I know my soul is translucent and Tie Dye, can’t tell you how I know that but I do, and because the stars call out to me in ways I can’t put into words. The 5 pointed star is symbolic of man, as you can see by the way it resembles a person with their arms out and their legs spread shoulder width, and I love all of humanity so very much. and the star would be out lined in bold black lines because a little darkness just makes the light of colors that much more vivid through the contrast.
Dragon cause that fits me to a Tee
My symbol must be the zig-zag sign of lightening. I named my first imaginary horse (at age 9) Streak of Lightening. Through the years when I “doodle” while listening to something or talking on the phone, I have and still do, draw either a heart or triangle with a zig-zag lightening streak on the right side going through them. I did not connect my horse’s name to my doodles until you asked this. I am now 75 yrs. old. I have no idea what it means or implies!? If anyone has an idea about this, please let me know at potter2painter@yahoo.com. Thanks, Barbara
Mine is the “Bear”! Over the years and many places, people I’ve known have told me at one time or another that I reminded them of a Bear, because of my build, size, strength, mannerisms, and personality. Everything from a Teddy Bear, Yogi Bear, Gentle Ben, to a Grizzle Bear!
a storm cloud — built up energy, to be released with rain (tears), lightning & thunder (emotional & mental pain).
Glad I took this test to confirm what I have known for most of my life. I didnt realsie it was called intuition. I have alwasy called it my spirit talking to me. my dilema is that is most times conflicts with reality. ____I know things and situations months before it happens and i feel like a right fool because it 8 out of 10 times it plays out exactly as i saw it or felt. I get scared to say anything so that i am not seen as a weirdo. ____My score was 52. Now I can embrace my spirits who always talk to me and show me things and not feel in any way. I am truly blessed and I didnt even know or understand it. There are and have been many things i know and i dont know how or why i know but i know. i can tell how people feel and if they are lying or even like me, i can tell when someone has just died and i always see spirits in houses and places who always want to have a conversation with me, i can even tell situations even though i have no connection with the situation. its like a voice always talks to me and shows me things whether or not i ask to be told. ____Now i know i am not mad or crazy but to just accept myself and embrace my gifts… Thank you. I needed that.
Dear Vishen, this is the most interesting newsletter of Philosopher’s Note I ever read.Wow,you are an amazing philosopher. It’s really very interesting topic. My symbol is very funny one but very interesting too.I drew it in a paper when I first wanted to Write a book about my life’s journey. It’s the Universe itself holding in our hands. When I started writing my 3rd volume,I broke my right hand and I couldn’t continue writing. After I’ve gone through a major depression and gave up everything. Today, after I read philosopher’s Note,I have desire to continue writing again. Thank you Vishen from bottom of my heart. My sincere love to you and your family, specially to your little Angel. You are amazing. I wish you great success in whatever you do.God bless you and your family always.
I would describe my self as an angel unaware. Be kind to everyone never no when you are talking to an angel unaware.
always Lion!
Isis, Vishen, my logo would be Isis and her wings opened.
•Lion = bravery, courage, king of the jungle
•The crucifix = Christianity, sacrifice, Jesus
•Dove = peace, hope.
I chose these three, as all these things ring true to my heart. The symbol that rounds it all up though is the heart, so I would use the heart symbol with all these other symbols included with a halo to represent the universal energy surrounding it.
love ‘n’ light,
x
My Personal Logo is a Sonrise! It is similiar to a “Sunrise” but it represents the Son of God rising in Me and making for a new and beautiful day!
