Symbols are a very important part of our life. We might not realize it but a company logo or a small emblem can trigger strong emotions or thoughts in us. Everyday, we're flooded with symbols, such as:
- Lion = bravery, courage, king of the jungle
- The crucifix = Christianity, sacrifice, Jesus
- Dove = peace, hope.
- Shamrock = Ireland, luck, Saint Patrick's day
If you had to pick one symbol, glyph, drawing, or logo that would represent YOU, what would it be?
Drop a comment below and let us know what your personal symbol is and why. If Bruce Wayne had a bat, what would you have?

My personal symbol would be a cat. I like to think i'm sleek, agile, and have 9 lives. It also represents my nonchalant and independent side.
Talking about symbols as for mine Libra (balance).I am a kind of person that everythings bare positive results regardless how bad the situations i am in.I am always opened for opportunties i am keen with and at times dont mind to explore farther if there's chances.I might be fierce at times if things not done on the spot.

Sindy here
That would be a turtle/tortoise, re tortoise and the hare. I don't like rushing into things. I like to take my time, make sure I've 'got it right' and I usually succeed in the end.
Oh I forgot to add tough and resilient on the outside but soft in the middle, able to take the knocks but remain compasionate.
And.. able to adpt to the environment being equally at home on land or sea.
My personal symbol is the Lion for Courage, and my NAME which transformed into a logo personifying we are from stardust and back we will return in Unity because we are ONE. We often forget that the Universe is very intelligent and is always lovingly sending subtle messages, our job is to be vigilant.
Please enjoy reading how my logo was created athttp://www.unitedstarminds.com/2009/08/19/united-starminds-logo-creation/
The fact that the topic of SYMBOLS is being discussed here is not a coincidence. I just loaded up a page on Symbols a few days ago and my thoughts on collective conciousness. Dan Brown had The Lost Symbol book, Nottingham University 60 Symbols site and today Finer Minds on Symbols.
The question is how to make head or tail of the WORD SYMBOL!
What message is the Universe sending us? I have some ideas, but that is another topic.
Great work.

My symbol ,which I'm shortly to have fashioned by a jewellry student ,is an amulet .It consists of a circle within which is contained a '+' sign in the form of a Maltese cross ..This is to remind me that whatever happens I am whole & complete ; the cross , or plus sign , is to rmind me to stay positive and look for the good aspects of Life ,always .
The Power Symbol on Electrical Appliances, i.e., A Circle with line going 1/2 way thru. Looks like a G (for my name) as well as a reminder that I can decide at any time to unleash my personal power or block it. Ultimately, it's up to me to release my unlimited power to do, be, or have whatever it is I desire.
I would choose the caduceus, the winged staff with two snakes carried by Hermes.
I would like to be a dalphin: free, cheerful and connected to the universe!!
As a psychologist, one of the tools used for information gathering of a client, I have asked a similar question. The question is....What is your favorite fairy tale and why...
My answer is Bambi...
He is curious, inclusive of all animals, makes friends easily, and grows to be strong, self assured and a symbol of strength, trust, a good sense of himself, fairness...etc.
A symbol in the context of the current question...
I would be a flower. aloha
Right now, my symbol is an empty canvas. I'm very creative, but no one knows it because I haven't done anything about it yet. Don't know what's stopping me. It could be laziness (not proud to admit). Maybe my symbol is a couch potato.
A mahogany colored woman with her hands held together acknowledging the greatness in you, I and the universe, with a bright white light lingering around her forehead.
The Dragonfly. They say that as a creature of the wind, a dragonfly represents change. Its wings are sensitve to slight breezes, so we too should heed where the wind blows us in life.
Dragonflies also live near water, which in and of itself is symbolic of the subconscious mind. Dragonflies symbolically carry a message dealing with deeper thought, reminding us to pay attention to our own deeper thoughts and desires.
Finally, a dragonfly lives a short life, so it must live life to the fullest.
Keeping these thoughts in mind as one progresses through life may be a source of focus for meditation, improving one's life choices in the process.
a fishing net hanging on a wall, with things snagged in it. years ago when i was doing a lot of psychic readings, i used this symbol as an example pf an energy grid with challenges, karmic responsibilities, good things and not so good things suspended on it. the understanding being that all those things hanging in the net were in my reality to embrace, or reject at any time, but.......still all arrayed for me to continue in the journey i had created for this visit to earth. i found that many people need a visual image to hang understanding on. LOL so over course here i am the teacher learning her own lesson....again and again and again
My symbol would best be a Triality Symbol or the Yin, Yang, Yaun Symbol. This symbol looks like the yin/yang symbol but has three parts and to me it represents three sexes, Male - Female - Transgender. Spiritually it means the relationship between Tao and human experience, properly portrayed as a triality. In our more mundane human experience of ying-yang, we call that which surrounds the everyday, perceptible interplay and expression of ying-yang the environment. This environment is the Yaun or the Void, the Unseen, the Nothing-There.
When my nephew passed away in 2005 I felt like "rewriting" myself because I feel I could have done a better job as an uncle. Stewart Swerdlow's "Healer's Handbook" has all kinds of hyperspace dream symbols that I had studied. I decided to choose the symbol for Healing Thoughts to represent me and my intentions; it's a capital N that looks cursive.
Great inquiry!
As a coach who works with people to develop personal branding, I love this.
What we stand for visually as well as conceptually is a great notion. Symbols are powerful iconic elements of our lexicon.
My symbol is a flame. i embody energy and light. I am a very enthusiastic person is is always ready with a bright sunny smile. I work to keep my flame harnessed for the best use of energy. I am the flame that turns sugar into caramel.
I am also aware that when I join flames with others a brighter light may shine for all of us.
Come shine with me!!
I would choose a red rose to remind me to give the best of myself and be a joy to have around, because everyone loves a rose.
All my life I have been a seeker. Always looking for answers,
constantly seeking truth. So I chose for myself the all seeing eye.
Aka the eye of Horus .Horus was the Egyption God of wisdom. I
hope I live long enough to aquire some.
my chinese zodiac sign is a dragon and i've always felt a connection - i feel that i've been around for a very long time and the dragon is an ancient symbol - it kind of goes with my personality and intensity (even though it's unfortunately becoming a cliche).
It may be sort of a cliche, but my symbol would have to be a HEART. I have tendency to focus on others more than I do myself, but as I evolve I am working on showing myself the same LOVE.
My personal logo may be a flower, which is beutiful and not a hard thing, soft and beautiful, the end result of which is beautiful.
My personal logo is a bunny ... while I appear to be shy and vigilant to avoid troublesome situations, I also see myself as steadfast when pushed. Have you seen the YouTube video of the rabbit that sent a rattler into a tree? I've seen the awesome fighting power of a cornered rabbit, and even welding gloves won't protect you from their teeth and claws!
A cat.
They are said to be psychic - all knowing. They are very aware, as they observe and then react. They know what they want and how to get it. Most are very loving, full of fun and life and very curious.
When I was 24 years old, leaving my home-state for the first time for grad school, my mother handed me her "Wonder Woman bracelet." This very silver cuff with a blue marble in the center had been a symbol of strength for me, my mother and my younger sister since I was about eight years old. When my parents divorced (when I was five years old), my mother became the iconic super-single-mom; the kind that doesn't cry for more than a day and instead gets to work breaking race and gender barriers to make the best life possible for her and her cubs. And she did just that. Whenever she was going off to do something in which she needed to make an impression, she'd say, "Girls, I'll be fine because I'm wearing the Wonder Woman bracelet!" We'd all cheer and feel confident that all would go well. It usually did. So, when my mother put that bracelet in my hand in 1992 as I headed off to school, I knew I'd be all right, too. And since then, MY daughter and I both have and wear Wonder Woman paraphrenalia every once in a while to remind of us of the legacy of strength we both carry.
Hi,I was trying to copy/paste my logo, which I designed a few years ago, driven by the death of my father, who's name on the paintings was MAC,means Mihail Atanasov Stoicov. My name is After him-Mihaella.People call me MICA.When I Did wanted badly to
send him my Love ,I wanted to ask the Universe to help me do that. This days for first time I went deep in to prayers,asking....making a sings with my creative senses and eventually came up with the harmony between his signature MAC and my nick name MICA.When I put it together became MAICA, which means Mother in Bulgarian.I am Bulgarian. This was the day when my logo was called MAICA.Please go to my web side, you will see the logo made from the characters of a Cosmic Alphabet, created in 681BC.It is a Geometry and Numerology Alphabet. Each character is = each letter of the 5/MAICA/All together, placed on top of another, became the Harmony of all the characters and the LOGO.I felt, this was a very special day of my Life.Since then ,I started paying my dues to the Mother Universe,Mother Earth,Mother Goddesses,Mother of the Children.
For now,I think this is my Logo.Thank to My LOSS of my Father.
You are amazing and this Blog I Love. Each time I open it,there is an amazing synchronism between my life and what is in it for me.Its my Trejure Box.Thank you.
My personal choice would be the symbol for infinity (side-ways
because I believe that our abilities are infinite as well as the universe's ability to provide
I believe the Phoenix would be my symbol...or the dragonfly...
My symbol would be the Polar Bear! I'm strong and courageous and will fight for servival if I have too!But I'm also a teddy bear when I want to be! I've been through alot in this lifetime and will continue to do so.I will laugh until I cry and live until I die!I will continue to just GO 4 It!I didn't learn this until I was in my early forties! Now I'm 55,and loving life no matter what happens!I've lived more than most people get to read about! That is a quote my oldest son once made to me!And I've lived my life to the fullest everyday that I can!The Universe constantly provides for me exactly when I need it!I ask and I receive what I truly need!I live in Love always!Love will always be the greatest gift in life!
First of all my Symbol is The crucifix = Christianity, sacrifice, Jesus
I don't find the purpose of my living. Everyday passes by. Morning comes so also comes the night. With heavy professional assignments I don't even in a position to find out "Why and what for I am living on this Earth."
Honestly enough, though I am a Christian but not so dedicated and committed one. At the mid-life, I am standing on a cross-road without having any proper and specific directions. I want to leave behind some legacy before my departure from this world. But what that legacy would be is still remaining a big question mark for me.
I know I have been blessed with a special gift by the Almighty Lord i.e. gifted power of creative writing. But due to my financial constraint and poor economic condition and position; I am unable to devote time for the same. If I get a scope for becoming a free-lance writer, I have definite and positive conviction in me that I can produce much better 'Books' compared to the contemporary writers. But unfortunately, despite several trials I have not been able to get a fellowship or sponsorship from any quarter / organization or institution enabling me to spend time focusing and cherishing on full-time writing career.
My symbol changes like the wind and the stars in the sky.
Right NOW I feel like a PHOENIX, a new beginning taking place with the old burning away.
Your comments are most interesting.
If you go to my blog http://www.diabesitycoach.blogspot.com, or my website, you'll see my logo. It denotes a journey from one point to another on the earth, following a star.
It represents the journey from unhealthy choices that damage the body to the goal of optimal health.
This is the journey I take my clients through when they decide to lose the weight that prevents them from following their star.
The best of health to you all.
Jacquelyn
My symbol is a butterfly which signifies New Beginnings - everyday is a New Beginning for everyone.
My symbol is the rainbow, all the colours and energies are within me, the rainbow has no beginning and no end - it is God's promise to us that Creation will never be destroyed. Every person whom I meet sees specific colours - but I am all of them and like the rainbow, which appears to touch this Earth at 2 points which can never be reached, I know that my arrival and departure from this dimension are but illusion.
My symbol is the Star - it reminds me that I am greater than my physical self. I have stars everywhere in my house so that I always remember where I am from and where I will return - keeps me from being too wrapped up in temporary setbacks.
I don't have a personal symbol, only a motto:, I'M A BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN, DON'T HAVE A THING TO WORRY ABOUT.
My symbol would be a sunset over the ocean. The sun sets every day only to rise again the next morning, promissing us new opportunities and new beginnings. The ocean, with its infinite power and vastness, is a representatiion of abundance in every aspect of our lives.
My symbol is the sheep who wishes to be led by my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens and leads me. If I would say to the mountain be removed and cast into the sea, it would be done. I am more than an overcomer, more than a conquerer, I am the child of a king. The King of Kings. Lord Jesus strengthen me to be a light unto your kingdom. Let your will be done and may you bless all those who read this comment to be able to bless others with your word that is alive and true.
I use the unicursal hexigram because to me it represents complete protection from being, in the middle of the shape also metatrons cube, because its natures first pattern and the unicursal fits perfectly inside replicated over and over to infinite and as a human I am nature and feel a close connection to these shapes thanks
Hi,
I always think the Butterfly symbolises the way I have lived my life, I have felt I have been in a cocoon for most of it, blinded as to what I am and capable of being and doing, I still feel I'm in that cocoon state, and have felt the struggle to change my thoughts and beliefs, but now I feel ready for emerging in to the world as a changed and enlightened woman.
I would have to say a bulldog symbolizes most of what I represent. Once I make up my mind to pusue a goal and get my teeth into it, I never stop. The bulldog symbolizes persistence, grit and determination. It is not the most intelligent of creatures but it has heart and will struggle with all of its being to fight for something it really wants.
My symbol is the eagle - flying high. free and with the wind beneath my wings - what a glorious feeling!
My personal made up mantra, is:
Love life, and life will love you back, be grateful everyday, for all that you have, and more of everything will come to you.
I wrote this poem some time ago, let me share part of it with you.
Believe in all, when all can fail, never rest, the quest for knowledge at it's best, continue to live, head held high, don't be afraid to be human inside.
My personal mantra is;
Love life and life will love you back.
Parts of a poem I wrote:
Believe in all when all can fail.
Strife for the best, never rest,
the quest for knowledge at it's best.
Continue to live head held high.
Don't be afraid to be human inside.
My personal logo is heart shaped Love's symbol. This is because I believe that the key for human to achieve a perofect or utopian world is true love.
There are many symbols I love, like the spiral, and the celtic cross, but there is none so immediately heart-warming and vibration-raising as a simple Smiley Face.
Hey Guys,
What drew me here to comment was the first topic of Issue of the #57 Newsletter, talking about:
"As humans we fear loss. We fear the loss of our jobs, our material items, our homes, our loved ones, etc. But it's what we do with a loss in our lives that defines who we are..."
And then at the bottom it mentions the logo.
How to deal with major loss and create a new, vibrant and expanding life has been the theme in our lives since late 2007. This is a huge and important aspect of fully re-discovering who we are and the real purpose of our lives.
My wife read 'the logo segment' to me this morning after I had awakened because she knew it would hit home for me.
My logo is a Lion. And this is a new awareness for me in my life. My theme has been since ~1990 (and still is) "Excellence for the Sake of It."
How I know I AM a Lion...
In late 2008, a very close friend of mine, Shane, who I met at Enlightened Warrior Training Camp in 2006 called me.
He sent me a ticket to attend Illumination Intensive in So California, a five day intensive - with the caveat, "GO."
So I did because I honor and trust my friend...
It was a REAL intensive - the purpose being primarily to go within and find out about our true inner selves and answers. I will not speak to the details because it may spoil it for someone who might attend - AND - I said I wouldn't.
Most of my adult life I have been into internal growth, energetic development and learning the way to live a healthy lifestyle in alignment with my higher self. It has been a struggle at times but always a fascinating experience.
All through the inner journey from 1971 until now, I had never seen myself as a Lion - maybe a tiger, or panther or eagle or bear - not a Lion...
But in meditation at that seminar - repeatedly I had an experience of a Lion. The first time it came up I found myself deep inside a cave and I felt something next to me quietly sitting and I could not tell what it was because it was very dark.
When my "sight" adjusted a little, I realized it was a Lion, a large male ===> RIGHT NEXT TO ME <====. My initial thought was that I should be terrified to become 'lunch'. But that subsided as soon as I saw the Lion did not move or even really pay attention to the fact that I was there.
That's peculiar, I thought.
When I came out of the meditation, I thought "That's weird, a lion. Wonder what that's all about."
During several more segments of meditation, I kept finding myself in the cave - only each time it was more familiar and less threatening. I kept asking myself, "I wonder what this Lion is all about and why I keep experiencing this."
Then it clicked and all made sense, "I AM the Lion. He is me and I AM him," and as soon as I came to that awareness, it all made sense somehow.
Prior to that time I had never thought of myself as a Lion. I always loved the Lions as a kid in the Zoo in San Francisco and I liked the guy on MGM flicks when he roared,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfMB4166xaE&NR=1
but that was it for me and Lions - pretty much.
But this was different. I WAS A LION. I AM A LION.
Ever since that time I have been trying to figure out what that meant in my life. At every opportunity I have asked shaman types and healer friends of mine what it might mean - and to date, I always get kind of a 'lame' answer that does not ring true for me. It struck us that the Lion logo came up here as something we should address.
I have been adjusting to the awareness that I AM a Lion since Oct 2008 - making an effort consciously to fit that into my understanding about myself and naturalize it within me.
For me it definitely is more than Courage and Strength, although that it part of it. There is something else - more along the lines of quiet leadership and having strength without having to use it, the quiet observer who watches more often than he strikes without having to exert strength to be recognized as powerful - or something long those lines.
I have not figured out the Spiritual meaning as yet and am still looking for those answers.
Since that seminar experience - about a year ago - so much has happened in our lives, there is enough material for several books.
And we have found our true purpose - after all these years of searching and experience.
But the Lion Logo and how to integrate it into that purpose is still unclear.
Any suggestions?
I AM Blessings and Light,
Michael
My symbol would simply be ME.
Would a symbol carry my feelings, my vibrations, my heart?
My logo is the Universe.I feel like I`m full of stars, shinning and smiling. My name means "people" so I feel all people inside me.I would like to be only a ball of energy flying through the Galaxy.
I send to all "a flower to you,Buddha to be".Think about it.
today i wake up with the symbol of a fallen angel.one who purposly fell to earth to learn about human emotions and pain.in heaven i was too stoic and knew nothing about suffering and challenges of the human condition.i gave up my wings to come to earth and find out about love, joy and sadness and laughter.i feel each day more and more as i am ageing.i am drawing closer and closer to my heavenly home and seeing humans as the most fantastic creation god has ever created.now as a human i seek to be an angel again but but keeping this time all the memories of trials and struggles that have made me self aware of who i am and how i grew and has given me more and more faith in god's amazing creation that changes and grows in infinite possibilities. as an angel i was perfect but that was never any joy or laughter.as a human i am never bored and see daily the most craziest conceptions i have ever seen as an angel. just be!
Mine would be a Heart-sharped Earth, symbolizing my Love and Respect for All Life on our plantet.
Today- My symbol would be a dolphin -tomorrow May be the same-most days I am a human with the ability to be anything-
I ponder, do dolphins ever want to be human or have they been there done that ?
love,love,joy,joy,namaste !!!
I had a skim through a symbols site and felt at home with the Egyptian and Pagan symbols most of all. Of the Pagan ones I was amazed to find the heart. So I choose as my symbol two intertwined hearts - their symbol for friendship.
My symbol would simply be ME.
Would a symbol carry my feelings, my vibrations, my heart, my faults, my qualities?
Why distract one's attention with something that doesn't necessarily reflect the reality?...
A symbol is the image of what someone would like to be or look like. It can be very attractive! But why attract with an image or a symbol instead of with your own self?
Having no symbol, the "definition" of what I am is very clear. "I am what I am" and I constantly work on it.
I realize though that our life is surrounded with symbols but I cope with it without making any judgement. I totally respect other people's choice or way of being.
Thanks for reading and have a nice day!
Thank you. This was an interesting and timely article. I shared it with my husband, Michael, as soon as I saw it. We both got a lot of pleasure from processing and thinking this through.
I have been aware of a number of animals as guides and symbols over the last approx. twenty five years and they have come forward or pulled back as I have grown, changed, developed, and expanded my own awareness.
The very first was wolf and what a teacher. I learned confidence and being okay with aloneness from wolf and also to enjoy my family whomever they are; whether blood or spiritual. "Women Who Run With The Wolves" came to me during this period and I read it several times pondering the meaning of wolf in my life. I became bolder and much less fearful during the years of wolf. I lived alone with my young daughter for the better part of twelve years during this period.
Next and concurrent was the dragonfly and the hummingbird. Dragonfly taught me extreme flexibility and adaptability. Dragonfly brought an element of magical transcendence into my life. Hummingbird taught me to enjoy the magic of nature and the delicate beauty of living in the mountains and being very inner focused and joyful about what I did have rather than what I left behind.
Now I am particularly drawn to and seeing Hawk everywhere and fairly frequently. Hawk was always something that fascinated but scared me. It always felt like too much power for such a small creature as a bird. I feel it is very symbolic also that I am seeking so much of hawk here near the ocean on the Gulf of Mexico where I rarely paid them much attention in the mountains. I saw them but they were not really connecting to me then. Now I really feel them.
I had to look up hawk because I wasn't sure what the message was and what I found really fits my current expanding experiences in life.
This quote is from Ask.com:
"Hawks piercing shriek tears through the air. In its shrill cry lies an important message which represents illumination. Hawk teaches us to scope out the situation and focus on our talents, trying to draw them out. Hawk learns to see the big picture in order to understand the past, present, and future. Hawk asks us to be observant of surroundings so we won't get distracted from our path by others. It also reminds us not to get caught up in minor annoyances so we can maintain our inner balance."
I bow in gratitude for the impetus to focus on discovering what the nature creatures and animals in my life have symbolized and how they have led me to the present moment.

My life symbol has been " Clean Water" White on top / Blue on Bottom it represented (Air / Water)...(truth, purity, & Life)
for Thirty years, I walked streams, creeks & riverbanks.
searching for answers of the polluters, testing, working on filteration, and collection systems to Clean the environment.
We as senseless humans seem to ignore that WE are Dead without "Water or Air" I studied biology, electronics, computer programming, electrical, mechanical, engineering, hydrulics, micro biology, industrial haz-mat, oil water seperators.
Our Human body is made of at least 80% of Water... people seem to take for granted or just disreguard their personal destruction by destroying the Water / Air.... blake
What came to my mind was a fleur-de-lis. No idea why. Wikipedia says it may be"at one and the same time, political, dynastic, artistic, emblematic, and symbolic."
I wouldn't like to be another kind of animal, although I respect and admire other creatures, because humans treat them so badly. For a logo, I like this simple equation: e^ixpi+1=0 (pronounced "e to the i pi plus one equals zero". Something transcendental equals nothing!
I love this question. Makes me think. I am a Sagittarius. But I would be this symbol with a dove on the horses back. Since I was a child my friends and I would pretend to be horses. I have always loved them. The freedom, to go were you please and run like the wind. The stregnth and power. The hidden beauty. that should come with that. Also a very gentle side of love and caring for there foul. Some times I would have to run as hard and long as I could as a child to get rid of the pend up energy. The human side is equaly important because as a human we have to take care of our envorment. We are the thinkers and protectors. Our ideas soar like the archers arrows. We try to put them out there as far as we can. The lttle dove I would have on the back of the horse is the other part of my being that is peaceful and sometimes just like go were my life takes me. I fly in my dreams alot and this is aslo part of the dove theme. I can go along for the ride or I can take flight when I have an idea. I can take it as far as it can go. Thank you the invite to think about who I really am. Without this question, I would not have been looking inside myself today.
It is a left facing crescent moon with a shadow outline of a crow cupped in its centre. I am a Crone, a Wiccan , and a crow spirit.
my symbol is a silver ring 2/3rds of it is covered with stars, the plain 1/3rd part represents my life thus far, the quietness, the servival, the hidden talents. The stars represent the me to come and the star in all of us ,the silver represents the cool smooth glowing light to show us the way ,and of course the ring represents eternity, which tells us "we are all in this place called life ,all ways together". love and happiness be with you Thank you, Ruby
Mine would be an Alpnonse Mucha woman - mysterious & artistic
my personal logo is a dragonfly...don't know why, just think they are magical and beautiful
I use the Goddess Athena in Full Armor as in the piece "Athena in the War with the Titans". Her shield bears a three-legged triskelion. She is smart, powerful, compassionate, but not easily taken in by pity. She is just and strong.
I came out of a horrific marriage and after hearing my ex-husband call me a myriad of sexually abusive names along with my given name (for example, if your where called Catherine, he called you The Queen Cunt Catherine. or Cuntherine.) for almost ten years - I went to a wonderful therapist and began discussing changing my first name.
I was already in film and theatre for years, so when I finally did it (and it is fully my legal name) almost nobody gave me grief about it. (Well except the ex, but what do you expect from an abuser?) It has helped heal my heart and change my life. I love myself today, I respect myself today, and love the power and strength this amazing Goddess has given to me. I do my best to bear her name with grace and strength and when I have moments of weakness, I will get through it and be stronger for it.
Symbolic since childhood is the Loon.....degavia is the scientific name for it and symbolizes: courage, integrity, wisdom. love your articles. j.
The Misunderstood Monster
Looking Fierce, Overwhelmingly Powerful, Feared, Banished from civilization, living in solitude
Yet within
At Peace, Gentile, Caring, Loving, Understanding, and just trying to be itself
in hopes to make even just 1 person happy
I would choose the number one (1) as my symbol to depict
that there is but ONE Spirit active in the universe regardless
of appearances. And on a more common level, that I am the
first child of 12. Also one represents unity and stability.
MY Personal Logo would HAVE to be the rabbit with the pocket watch from Alice In Wonderland. Not a day, not an appointment, not ANYTHING I can think of, passes by that Im NOT late for!! I can't stand it! Yes, it drives me CRAAAAZY!! But, yet, thats me!! Im ALWAYS late! And Im sure, everyone that knows me would agree... that logo fits me! **sighs**
If I had to guess one thing I would have to say my symbol would be a locomotive engine because no matter how rough the terrain or how heavy some burdens get I keep on chug'n along - I think I can, I think I can, I think I can...... Nothing can get in my way!! And, it seems that since the death of my dad in May that drive, ambition, determination has become even stronger!
I would either be an eclipse or a wolf.
My symbol is a dove but it does not look like a bird. It looks like a perfect circle with one dot placed in the center. This is peace for me out of the thoughts and projections of duality. Here I stand, Here is Peace, Here ..... I Am! As I AM so is all! As the dot disappears as it is observed....so am I. Where I AM.....(You) are this moment. ONENESS!
My logo is a body with hands on a wave of energy or muscle fiber, depending on wether I feel grounded in the physical or spiritual. I had this logo created 12 years ago when I completely changed my career and became a massage therapist.
In my work I help people relate to their pain in a way that allows them to let go and then their own body can start to heal itself.
The other quality of this logo is a vaguely oriental aspect to stylised head which resembles the brush and ink caligraphy practice of creating a circle with a single stroke.
I have been practicing meditation for over 35 years and now see my massage treatments as part of my practice.
My symbol would /is energy, energy is present motion not bound by the time.,,always infinities , in motion to create ,and occurence,
an Eagle....definately the characteristics I am aspiring for
I would have to say my symbol would have to be one of a Santa Claus, I have such a strong feeling in giving not only in money or material items but also of the heart. Thanks.
I love both hearts & stars. Stars as a reminder to keep looking up. And hearts to keep myself centered. If I had to pick only one, I'd probably go with stars. Perhaps I need to work up a logo with a heart in the middle of a star.
My symbol would be the moon. There's just something so mysterious about it, just as there's something mysterious about myself.
My life as a symbol of a cliff, remains faithful to my ideologies and always look forward to the future.
(stepbystep...)
My life as a symbol of a cliff, remains faithful to my ideologies and always look forward to the future.
my logo is a pink universe represents the love i will bring to the world and to other galaxys
My medicine sign is in fact a dragonfly, have a great tattoo on my left shoulder blade, but more recently, I was faced with having been diagnosed with a terminal illness, I see the Phoenix as something that represents me. The greatest thing that I can pass on is "This thing does not define me, I define it."
My logo has been that of a butterfly throughout my life. It represents natural beauty within and outward. Transformation throughout ones journey.
My personal logo has been that of a butterfly. It represents beauty within oneself and transfermation throughtout ones journey.
I favor the Dragon as that is my Chinese horoscope animal.
Mighty Mouse....Here I come to save the day!!!!!
Love, Healer, Spirit Guide, Inner Self, Creator of new galaxies with her bright wings, Dream giver, Creativity, and Dream, aspect of my vision and faith, She is Hope, and I can Fly.
I have seen her in my dreams
She was by my side throughout my childhood. I played horses too, lttldove! - but she always stood out, she was real, when I knew the others to be of my imagination. She flew alongside whenever my family traveled.
She helped me find my balance when I became dizzy, crossing a stream,
and often nudges me still -
to bring me back to myself, or to give me the courage I seek.
She is a Unicorn Pegasus.
And I am She.
Mine is the Eagle...They don't flock or fly in packs. They are rare to see and they don't fly low with the Buzzards, Chickens, or Turkey's.
My personal symbol...without a doubt is a heart. It's obvious what a heart symbolizes and that's how I want to live my life. I wanna follow my heart, trust my heart, go to it for guidance, give my heart, all of my heart, to everyone, including myself. I realized even when I doodle I am always drawing hearts, I buy clothes and knick nacks with heart logos, and I have a tatoo of a small heart on my back shoulder <3
for many years I have collected zebras...not sure why...the fact that they are so unusual - their stripes are for protection and illusion...knowing that most of this life is an illusion...power in numbers even though I am more of a loner these days...each set of stripes are original as is each person...I realize that I am stronger than a zebra and when threatened my zebra stripes turn into white tiger stripes and the claws appear...I also know there is a balance in this world and the stripes represent balance - there is no good or evil...there is imbalance or balance...the stripes represent balance... unique and individual and group balance.
I remember a few years back that when ever i say a Monarch butterfly, i was usually pondering something in my head, this made me feel that it was a sign for something, at times a resolution mediator. ( I love butterflies)
However, I love nature and I like different looks and often feel like a goddess.

My symbol would be Sunshine. I bring a positive light wherever I go, encouraging others to do the same. To be a light in the world among all the darkness.
My symbol would be musical notes. I am very melodic. I love music and I have already planned some designs using musical notes.
an endless knot, a thread w/ no beginning, no end, a constant, breathing infinity that is....
A wild horse. Representing a strong independence, with a need for freedom and individual reign. Enjoys movement. Ready to turn and sprint in another direction spontaneously. Most content in nature with the opportunity to be quiet and enjoy or head into a new experience.
I would morph a tiger and a butterfly together as both represent examples of my true nature. The tiger for autonomy and decisiveness and purposefullness. the butterfly for freedom innocence and the lightness of play...
I'm a libran and highly experienced both as a Martial Arts trainer and a performance poet / sculptural artsperson. A combined image of these two creatures morphed together would be an apt Symbol for me at the moment.
My symbol is Wolf. Intense, spiritual and intimidating.I am an American Indian and my last name translates into 'shieldwolf'. Also, my first name translates into bumblebee.Busy and nuturing.
Iam a Dragon, frog,Cougar,Owl and ant. There are others. I am also Crow.
One person wrote that Eagles are rare to see....,I see them all the time and I have gathered many feathers they have left for me to have. Not to mention the Great Blue Herion.I live in the Pacific Northwest, and Eagles(golden, brown and bald)are everywhere! Please remember that they are also scavengers.
It would be the symbol of a wood fire burning. My new modo has been, Strike while the iron is hot! So a burning fire represents that metaphor to me very clearly.
My personal logo would be a butterfly. They are so free and
colourful. Each with its own inner light and beauty. Thats me.
Mine would have to be the Alder tree as the Tree of life.
"The Celtic meaning of the Alder deals with giving and nurturing among the sacred Ogham for many reasons.
Namely, its root system provides rich nutrients to the soil, more so than other trees. The alder can successfully restore poor soil conditions back to healthy Ph levels.
Primarily a wetlands and swamp tree, the alder's root system is often submerged in watery areas. As such, the Celts observed their roots serving as intricate shelter systems to fish, specifically trout and salmon. Further, the alder's leaves easily decompose in the water providing rich nutrients to all manner of water creatures.
These acts of generosity and shelter against harsh conditions can be translated in our own lives. By simply standing firm in our own positive environment, we can affect those around us in positive ways. By emitting our signals of tranquility, and peace, we are enhancing the lives of others just be sheer association.
Although it is primarily associated with the element of water, the alder gracefully crosses into the realm of air and fire as well. For example, ancient legend indicates the wood of the young alder is traditionally used for crafting whistles, pan flutes and recorders. This establishes the alder's claim to the air element. "
I always wear a small chai pendant, the Jewish letters hay-vav, which signify "life."
My passion in life here on Earth was always and always to feel
like we all are here to be a Family, to live in love and unity, in servise to one another, regardless... That's why I always wanted to bring people together, around the table, to celebrate LIFE... wherever I go. I did it back in my country, Kiev Russia, and I am going to do it here, in USA... I want to build the House of my dream and call it "International House of Love" and you... are...invited!
A Lion
My symbol is an Owl. The owl is able to see the feintest movement on the darkest night, its vision is profound, it hones in on its prey with utmost precision which for me symbolises seeing through the 'Veil of Illusion'. Other traits would be watchfulness or awareness combined with calmness, fearlessness, faith; for it sleeps while the day creatures are hunting but it is always alert. It also has the very natural animal trait of working at one with nature; it takes no more than is needed, always being grateful for that which the universe provides, which is evidenced by the fact that it honours itself by always being an owl. I admire this and honour myself by being the best human I can be. My heritage is Australian born with a splash of English, a dash of Irish, a dollop of Canadian Indian and a splodge of Scottish; I am married to a Maltese/Australian and we have three beautiful children. I am my own United Nations and I love All people; How does this make me identify with an Owl...Owls exist in varying forms on every continent, just like we do, they quietly, stealthily go about their business, not harming anyone as they go...it is rare that their passing ever stirs the air...oh to be able to cause such little harm in our walk through the world.
A ram would best describe me because the ram has the horns of a bull, the strength of a bull, can climb mountains and endure harsh weather and has wool as soft as a lamb's wool. A ram doesn't stop until he reaches the top with determation and heart!! What I'm saying is-I'm a ram because I can be hard when I need to be and soft at the same time.
I have a Mohican hair style. I've had it for about 2 years now. I have it as a reminder that everyday I have to be prepared for the constant battles in my life.
If I ever get a tattoo it will be an excalibur like sword... More fighting I suppose!

A book, a candle and mountain in background: Learning, illuminating the way, challenges to be surmounted.
Mine would be the Chimera. A mystical animal that cannot be defined. It exibits multi-physical characteristics. None has dominance. Just choose what you are comfortable with and you get what you see.
A dolphin .... peace, harmony, freedom, creative intelligence! I wear one on a ring and around my neck on a chain!
My choice would be the mighty and powerful elephant that represents strength, honor, stability, loyalty to family, solitude, stead-fastness, wisdom, dignity, reliability, and patience. Considered a good-luck charm to many. Also called a calm majesty with noble gentleness. I have always had a deep love and attraction to elephants and feel I connect with them on a spiritual level. These are the qualities I strive to emanate, and so I choose elephant as my symbol.
For a long time now, my symbol has been a Butterfly. To me, it represents beauty, growth, change and above all, FREEDOM.
A Butterfly, for beauty, incessant growth, adaptibility to change and freedom!
This is truly one of the best newsletters I receive n a regular basis, and this one, I read every time.
At my age, I have conquered most thing in life more than once, claimed victories, lost and regained, learned that I can rely on me - every time I need to. Finer Minds' newsletter -to me, is an affirmation of why we all need to be reminded...of life in real time.
I would be a Lilly it looks to be floating along, yet i have strong roots and not as fragile as i look
In fact I never thought of any symbol for myself. It is indeed a really good thing. Now, My thought of my symbol as "Lion wearing a crucifex with dove on its back.
