Our discussion here begins with a discussion of The Truth of who you really are. Who you really are is what I call an “Infinite Being” – a magnificent being who lives in a constant state of infinite power, wisdom, abundance, and joyfulness. Along your journey, you’ve no doubt heard something like this:
“We are Spiritual Beings having a physical experience.”
That’s true, but it’s the little-known True nature of our “physical experience” I want to chat with you about here.
Your natural state as an Infinite Being also includes having an unlimited desire to play, explore, and express yourself creatively. As a result, you decided you wanted to play a game called “The Human Game.”
We’re all here playing The Human Game!
The Human Game — What is it and why do we play it?
I define the term “game” as anything we do for entertainment, fun, challenge, and to express ourselves creatively. As such, to me, sports and traditional games like checkers, chess, bridge, and monopoly are games. But so is painting sculpting, playing a musical instrument, reading novels, watching plays, movies or TV shows, etc.
For purposes of discussion and using metaphors in this article, however, I’m going to focus 100% on sports games. All sports games have specific structures, themes, “playing fields,” and specific ways of winning.

Like baseball games have 9 innings, golf matches have 18+ holes, soccer games have two halves, and tennis matches have multiple sets, The Human Game was designed to have two phases. I call them “Phase 1” and “Phase 2” to keep things simple
The Goal of the Human Game
The theme of baseball is to score more runs than the other team. For golf, it’s to get the ball into the cup with the fewest number of strokes. For soccer it’s to score more goals than your opponent. The theme of The Human Game is to fully explore the experience of limitation and restriction – to explore what happens when you limit your natural state of infinite power, wisdom, abundance, joy, and ability to express yourself creatively.
Phase 1 Of the Human Game
To take that concept deeper, since your natural state is one of infinite power, wisdom, abundance, and joy, in Phase 1 of The Human Game, the goal is to convince yourself you’re the opposite of that – that you’re not powerful; you’re at the mercy of forces beyond your control; you’re living in a dangerous world; you’re not very “smart” (and/or there’s so much you don’t know and must learn); you’re not very abundant as it relates to money and stuff (or your abundance is unstable and can come, go, shrink, grow, etc.); and you’re unhappy or experiencing “negative” emotions most of the time.
As a result, The Human Game is jam packed with all sorts of limiting and restrictive ideas and experiences. Concepts like death, poverty, loss, fear, pain, shame, struggle, and sorrow were all created exclusively for The Human Game experience.
The Playing Field For The Human Game
Soccer is played on a field, basketball on a court, baseball on a diamond, golf on a course. The playing field for The Human Game is what we call “3 Dimensional Reality” or “The Physical Universe,” which has visible and invisible components.
The playing field isn’t “real.” It doesn’t Truly have any power over us. It’s a cleverly crafted illusion that we create and convince ourselves is real and has power over us in Phase 1 — as the quantum physicists and mystics have told us.
Once you’re born, the process of forgetting The Truth (about who you really are and what your natural state is), limiting and restricting yourself, and convincing yourself the illusory playing field is real kicks into high gear. In the popular psychology, success and self-help literature, this process is often called programming or conditioning, but it goes much deeper than is generally discussed.
How To Play In Phase 1 Of The Human Game
Therefore, to play in Phase 1 of The Human Game, we must:
- Create the illusory playing field (3 Dimensional Reality), convince ourselves it’s real and has tremendous power over us
- Convince ourselves we’re the opposite of who we really are as we play The Human Game on the field
- Play with and explore limitations and restrictions in a myriad of ways as we play on the field
Living In Phase 1
That was a tremendous achievement – and it’s at the core of what makes The Human Game so much fun and challenging for us as Infinite Beings (even though you and I might disagree about it being “fun” at times from our limited and distorted perspectives). To do it, we used every resource at our disposal – personal experiences, what we see happening to other people, what others say to us, what we say to ourselves, the media, song lyrics, movies and TV shows, books, etc.
As we play in Phase 1, because the name of the game is limitation and restriction, there are so many things we want to change, fix and improve about our lives. We’re encouraged to try all kinds of strategies, techniques, and tools to do it. But we never fully succeed – or the experience of “success” doesn’t last. The reason that happens is because remaining limited, restricted, and convinced the illusion is real is the desired outcome in Phase 1. By design, it doesn’t change and we don’t get to “have it all” until we enter Phase 2 and expand to a certain point. More about that in a minute.
The Self-Created Cloud Of Illusion
Let me share a metaphor with you to hammer this critical and little-known Truth home. Compare the Infinite Being that you really are to the sun. When you think of the sun, you think of tremendous power, energy, light and heat, right? So it’s a good fit for your natural state.
Now, imagine that in Phase 1, you create a very solid, dense, layer of cloud cover that blocks your access to the sun of who you really are. Metaphorically then, on the other side of the cloud cover, as we play in Phase 1 on the illusory playing field called 3 Dimensional Reality, we’re playing in a dark, cold, black and white world – compared to the brightness, warmth, and “color” of our natural state as Infinite Beings.
As long as the cloud cover is in place and access is blocked to your natural state, you may be able change some of the details of what you experience on a daily basis – as it relates to income, net worth, business, career, relationships, health and wellness, etc. (you may not) – but even if you do, you’ll still remain limited, restricted, convinced the illusion is real and you’re the opposite of who you really are within it. Why? Because that’s the whole point, the goal, the “job” of the cloud cover in Phase 1!
This is why none of the self-help, personal growth, or success techniques work consistently or reliably. They’re not meant to in Phase 1!
Achieving True And Lasting Transformation
You must knock out the cloud over if you want to experience what I call “True And Lasting Transformation.” You can’t just have an intellectual understanding of who you are, what your natural state really is, and what’s really going on, you must actually knock out the cloud over.
Most of us spend our lives struggling in Phase 1 (to one degree or another, in one or more areas of our lives), trying to change, fix and improve our circumstances, failing to do it fully, having no idea there’s a Phase 2 of The Human Game, or how to begin playing it. That was my story until 5+ years ago.
Entering Into Phase 2 Of The Human Game
In Phase 2 of The Human Game, the whole game reverses itself. Where Phase 1 was all about limitation, restriction, illusions appearing real, creating and locking the cloud cover into place, Phase 2 is all about expansion, knocking out the cloud cover, and re-experiencing The Truth of who you really are.
Phase 2 has two segments to it. In the first segment, you continue playing The Human Game, but you take an extraordinary journey that enables you to drill holes through the cloud cover, knock out bigger and bigger chunks of it, and expand back into more and more of a direct and consistent experience of who you really are — with full access to your infinite power, wisdom, abundance, joy, and ability to express yourself creatively in a myriad of ways.
Playing The Game With No Limits
In the second segment of Phase 2, you continue playing The Human Game, you don’t become “enlightened” and leave, but you begin playing for the sheer pleasure of playing — with no limits or restrictions at all, except those you choose to experience to create games that are fun for you to play.
Moving through the first segment of Phase 2 into the second segment of Phase 2 is how you Truly “win” The Human Game! True Success is not about being “successful” as it relates to money, business, career, relationships, health and wellness, sex, being happy, being of service to others, etc. – it’s about expanding back into a direct experience of who you really are, and being able to play The Human Game for the sheer pleasure of playing – with no “outside” limits or restrictions.
Opening The Gateway To Phase 2
Through a remarkable journey that began for me when I was 12 (I’m 52 at the time of this writing), I discovered how to open a gateway into Phase 2. I developed a set of tools you can use to drill tunnels through the cloud cover, poke holes through it, ultimately knock out huge chunks, and expand as you play the Phase 2 game. I also created a series of maps and guidance systems that support you as you drill and expand. I’ll share more about my discoveries with you in the free gifts described below.
I’m sure this all sounds very exciting to you, but it may also seem impossible, impractical, pie in the sky, or something reserved for a special few. I assure you it’s possible, it’s practical, and it’s do-able — for you!

This is amazing! I feel like I’ve been living my whole life to get to this point, to read these words, and to have them resonate so totally with my experiences that I’m in a state of unfettered joy! I also had an experience. I was 28, I was just staring at the wall from my couch, and I thought to myself, “Why can’t I feel good all the time?” All of a sudden, out of the blue, this voice says to me, “How can you say I don’t love you, look at everything I have given you!” I felt like everything I knew and felt had just been erased from my consciousness! I was filled with the most incredible feelings of unfettered joy & freedom. I cried like a baby for a long time. I could not believe what had just happened to me. I was in this state for 2 months. I saw how perfect everything really is. I saw how everbody was playing a role that they had created to help them learn what it was that they wanted to learn & experience! I was in total synchroniscity with the universe, it was the most amazing experience of my life. Eventually I came back into my former experience as a limited being, however I was changed. The idea that this world is an illusion and that we are truly limitless infinite beings although unaware of our true reality is harldly new and I wonder if it is the end of the story.
I was wondering if you would be willing to explain why you concluded that 3 dimensional reality is all a game. I have heard equally viable alternate explanations of this illusion. Such as that it is all a perceptual mistake from which our true selves are calling us home and our purpose is not to play here in the illusion but to awake entirely to our true reality of complete Oneness which is beyond 3 dimensional reality and unknowable from this level until we do fully awake. Could your phase 2 be just another stepping stone in the path to ultimate awareness?

The idea that this is all an illusion is not new, no. However, from my perspective, a practical path out of the control the illusion appears to have over you, out of it’s limiting and restricting impact — for everyone who chooses to follow it (vs. it only being reserved for a select few) — is new and that’s what this work provides.
The Knowings I’ve been given as I’ve expanded is that the purpose of The Human Game is not to expand, become “enlightened” (or whatever you want to call it) and leave this game, this illusion, but to stay here and play in radically different ways, with no limits or restrictions (except those we choose to impose to make a game fun to play) before going “home.
It is, however, a personal choice for all of us. That is merely an opportunity.

The “turn-back-now thoughts” you describe as being so present are part of what I call “The Phase 1 Miracle.”
If the goal in Phase 1 is to convince yourself the illusion is real and you’re the opposite if who you really are in it, and to play in that dynamic, then any time you get near The Truth, you must do something to get yourself to turn away from it.
This is what your thoughts are — a sort of security system setting off alarms that get you to turn away. Not real, no real power in them, but a very effective way to keep you locked into Phase 1 dynamics.
I appreciate all the kind words and expressions of appreciation above from everyone. I say to people, “This work is the most extraordinary thing I’ve ever experienced or taught.”
When I created this model and the tools, my constant searching for Truth ended and I just put my head down and started working on the cloud cover to “free” myself.

The important thing to note is that playing the human game of phase 1 is now allowing for the greatest spiritual transformation and growth of ALL TIME (meaning…in the history of the cosmos). This is huge–we are doing something that has never happened before. (And it’s scary and exciting at the same time.)
We are going through it right now—shifting from Phase 1 to Phase 2, raising our consciousness from “lower level human consciousness” to include the consciousness of the higher self–which will allow us to gain the higher-level understanding of our origins, including why we’ve chosen to play this human game in the first place.
2012 is the end of one cycle and the beginning of the next…for the mass consciousness, I feel. When we go through the shift individually is up to each individual.

Intriguing. However, I find the idea that, for example, we don’t really know that there’s a war in Iraq detracts from your credibility. There’s a point to be made there, since the news on TV does contain a lot of distortion, but your comparison of world news to a Hollywood movie script seems overplayed. It makes it seem as if you are peddling denial rather than a constructive and workable approach. On the other hand, I have a feeling some of the more subtle points about this may have been glossed over in your brief presentation, so maybe a fuller exposition of that topic is necessary.

I listened a couple of times and then meditated on your presentation before commenting. There was one key comment you made, the comment is “I already have it.” I realized that detachment from what we want is how it comes. I can remembering saying I wanted something or was interested in having it, giving it very little thought no meditation on it, and it manifested. I often feel as if I’m here but I’m not, almost as if I’m floating through life in a sense, very light, very etheral experience as what I desire to be, or as you say it, “playing my game” begins to happen. I am presently doing something I never thought I would do, a different game for me, but somehow it isn’t so different, when I think of it I realize that I bought into not having it and so I didn’t get it. I listened to all the hype and what is and what isn’t possible, and I chose to believe in the impossibility of it instead of the possibility. Your presentation of the material is so unlike how others in the self-help genre present, clearly it isn’t that difficult, it feels like release, just believe and release and be it. Can you shed more thought, light on this?
I liked what you had to say and can connect very well with the metaphor of life as a game. However, when looking at the photo you used to describe this metaphor I was disturbed by the subliminal imagery used which is often used by advertisers and carries masonic/illuminati content. The photo clearly depicts a sun, 3 pillars (the tape which connects the two parts of the image) and also a pyramid in the form of the window in the house.
I don’t think I’m seeing things so why are they being used?
I was resonating withyou when you were speaking of the plane flight[I was flying to Belize on a vacation],it was like writing a movie and from there wrote myself awonderful,full of adventure holiday that cameto phase 1 life. Thank you very much for this. I lucked onto the Finer Minds site somehow (the Internet Angel — LOL) and decided to check out the interview with Bill Harris as I am a long term Holosynch user. Then I found Robert’s interview and realised it was the guy who was in the Leap! movie, who I had been so taken with.
Your metaphor of the two stages of human life really made an impact on me when I saw Leap! It made a lot of sense to me. It also made it O.K. that I have screwed up so seemingly badly in spite of all the hard work and good intentions. It’s all just part of the game!!!

It was also good to hear someone challenge the idea that we are here to ‘learn lessons.’ I would have an almost phobic reaction whenever I heard that phrase and wondered at times if my reaction meant it was really true after all and I didn’t want to acknowledge it.

I have been on a search for the answers, and when I realized that a person,place or thing wasn’t the answer to any of my happiness/joy I knew it is an inside job.
I am at the point of feeling and being “SO DONE PLAYING PHASE I” I can’t stand it anymore! I AM SO READY FOR PHASE II I CAN HARDLY STAY IN MY SKIN.
I totally resonate with your analogy of life being a game,it all in how you play it,which I’ve even said to myself some time ago, not really realizing the full impact of what I said to myself.

Today I listened to your audio presentation for the third (or maybe fourth) time and keep getting more of what you’re saying each time. It is amazing — thank you.
In response to your question about what was my first and/or strongest impression, strangely enough, it was “Was this guy ever involved in Scientology?” because the several years that I studied Scientology way back in the day was the only other time I’ve heard the concept of infinite spiritual beings creating a playing field in which to play the game of being human expressed so clearly and succinctly.
Now, the organization of Scientology turned out to be a very strange one indeed, with several aspects of it striking me as weird and/or “not right.” But the tools available there for “breaking through the cloud cover,” as it were, made a whole lot of sense to me and on a couple of occasions I experienced truly mind-blowing moments, which is what kept me hanging around as long as I did, even though I eventually bogged down and never progressed very far along the “bridge to total freedom.”
It’s been decades since I was involved, but the concepts I first came across there have stuck with me and, I’m sure, influenced my “take” on the world and my life. The idea of “cause” coming only from the sunny side of the cloud cover, never from “down here” is one that, at one time, made sense of a lot of things for me that otherwise didn’t make sense. I think I’ve forgotten that almost completely for quite a few years and it’s good to have my memory refreshed.
What I sense in your work is that, for me, it’s re-kindling the best aspects of what I learned back then and offering a non-organizational, non-doctrinaire way of achieving what Scientology promised but rarely, if ever, delivered (from what I could see).
That would be a gift of immeasurable magnitude and I look forward to taking the next step toward obtaining my “drilling tools.”
