Alright, so today we’ll be studying Real Magic by Dr. Wayne Dyer. I started on Dyer at the age of 15. (yes I was a self improvement and philosophy geek). In fact, I spent the New Year of 1991, reading his book “Your Erroneous Zones”. I was 16. He’s had a huge influence on my way of thinking from an early age.
This particular book, Real Magic is one of my favorites from Dyer.
“This book was written with the express purpose of showing you the way to create what you may have previously thought to be impossible in your life.”
~ Wayne Dyer from Real Magic
Notes from Brian: “Wayne Dyer rocks and creating this Note was a lot of fun. If you could see what my copy of the book looks like, you’d know why. Nearly every page is underlined and starred and marked all up. It’s one big Big Idea.
If Dyer’s resonating with you, I think you’ll dig the book as well as The Power of Intention and Your Erroneous Zones (see Notes on both!).
For now? Let’s get into some Big Ideas on how to create “Real Magic” in our lives!”
This is definitely a book worth reading. You can grab a copy of Real Magic over here »
And as always, what’s your BIGGEST Aha! moment from this Note and how are you going to implement the wisdom from today into your life? Drop a comment and let the discussions roll!
And twitter users, don’t forget the #50days
Also, because lots of people are joining in on the Challenge a few days late and in case you miss a day or two, check out this page » We’ve listed every Note that will be discussed (on which day) along with links to the discussion posts.

I read EVERYTHING Wayne Dyer writes & give them as gifts. At dinner my family (daughter & 2 grandchildren) read one of his quotes. What a blessing his life IS. The year my daughter went to the University of Buffalo 1995 I Met Him & still have a photo of that hug!!! My treasure. His generousity is legend.
My favorite take away is Act As If. For me, the act as if exercise was to act as if I were a successful entrepreneur. I’ve been a successful freelancer and consultant, now I’m creating something on my own and plan to be very successful at that. It’s been quite a challenge. When I thought, act as if I’m a successful entrepreneur, with millions of happy users, happy empowered employees, great relationships I felt my chest expand, lighten up. It was very visceral.
Hey Tribe! So for me Dr Dyer was the guy on Oprah??? (I don’t watch much tele, in fact, haven’t turned it on since before Christmas) in any case not up with Wayne Dyer. Liked his stuff, doesn’t sound like it has the gravitas as other teachers maybe — don’t think I’d rush out and buy the book but obviously squillions of others have. Mostly Brian I liked your TV notes hints ie. do the creative stuff in the morning before the dreaded email starts pinging (Yep I’m one of those blackberry tragics who wakes up to the alarm and reads my emails before I really am awake.….arghhh!). OK so creative, get my best me up and happening. Discipline myself to be creative and my highest person all the time. This is a concept I am working on big time. Like the concept too of Prosperity = moving forward with hope in everything we do. The concept of being so into something that I’m hoping it’s 2 miles away for every mile I’ve got to go — not there yet. I know what it is. I know what it looks like, smells like and feels like. Just got to cut those parachute cords and jump — aaaargh into the great wide open. Into the skies of blue .. (song humming in my head — can’t remember who it was that sang it)…anyway, belief is the juice that IS giving me the chutzpah to JUST DO IT! Get into the process and surrender — forget the mortgage, the business, the blah blah blah„„ surrender. So if I surrendered, I’d be writing a program to support people be the best they could be. What would you be doing if you surrendered??? Hugs to all. Cheers Deanne
Hi Deanne. Maybe he’s been on Oprah, who hasn’t? However, his primary television appearances are on his own specials produced for public television. In recent years, he’s produced a special on the subject of each of his newer books. He’s raised millions in funds for public television.
All his television work is available on CDs or DVDs. If you come across them they are well worth watching. His personal presence on stage, even on TV, is more powerful even than his books. Attending a live event is even better.
If you are thinking of Dr. Phil, the guy who used to be on Oprah a lot (and she launched him into his own show after that), no, Dr. Dyer is a different guy.
Wow, this note was amazing. I have never read this book, but it’s on “the list” now, for sure!
My absolute favorite concept from the note is “Stop focusing on outcome. Focus on what you are here to do and doing it.” If you continually behave in ways that fulfill your purpose for being here, the outcomes can’t help but be successful. I’ve been shifting my focus to this mode of operation this year. Out of the extreme focus on goals and into focus on the daily activities that fulfill my purpose.
I love this 50 day challenge! Each note comes at just the right time to remind me of ways to engage my personal path in the most effective way.
I know my purpose in life is to serve, I have just been waiting for the Universe to tell me what form that should take. I lik the idea of asking the question everyday with those words from the ‘How can I serve others’ section, think I will try that to see if I can get the answer!
My key learnings of today: (Worth reading thousand of times and meditate them)
“Focus on living with integrity to our highest purpose.
We’ll be happy to the extent we use our strengths often.
You go beyond success, achievement and performance as indications of your life’s mission.
The great and glorious masterpiece of man is how to live with purpose.
No limits.
Expand the limits on your creative potential, financial abundance, spirituality… Enter your real magic kingdom.
Anything you desire to do, you can do.
Conjure up the image of your ideal self—in whatever domain of your life.
Act or be like that ideal NOW!
When your mind is on the result rather than what you are doing, you create inner discord that blocks any and all possibilities for miracles to show up. Prosperity is about process, not outcome. Purpose is about loving and giving.
Being prosperous is going forward hopefully.
Recognise our limiting beliefs and say to them .… Next, next, next… rewire your brain. Keep your consciousness beautiful.
Commit your ideal to paper. (Repeatedly)
The spiritual being sees the physical world as an arena for growth and learning with the specific purpose of serving and evolving into higher levels of love.
Your biggest hurdle to reshaping your personality into the work of art that you desire will be overcoming your fears and doubts.
This kind of inner commitment to your own excellence is the stuff of which miracles are made.
Let’s envision our Highest Selves, commit to living on purpose and create Real Magic in the world as we honor the precious gift that is our life!
i love dyer.. i watched his pbs show every morning for over a year as i dressed for work..mostly i listened… then i saw him and knew everything he was going to say and i loved it even more…used it encorporated it and manifested.….
my favorite idea from this book was
“How can i share more of my gifts with the world today?”
and my interpretation of his last quote…
i intend, not wish, to manifest the necessary talent and intellect i need to become the purposeful person i am destined to be…
hugs to all
Hello again tribe
I’ve just had the most amazing morning. Great walk — sun shining; birds singing; insects buzzing; trees loving me; life loving me. As part of this great day unfolding I came across this 1950’s recording by Earl Nightingale about “The Strangest Secret in the World”. It’s fantastic. Yeah, a little dated but the message, get the message — it’s like having Dale Carnegie in your living room or Marcus Aurelius for lunch.… loving what this guy says. Here it is:
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-84480183...
Brian, if you’re out there have a listen — it’s 31 minutes. Think of it as a tutorial for your Phd in Life. I’m so excited by this one. I’ve got to get a card — listen and you’ll understand why.
Figured all my wonderful tribe members are open to learnings just like me — take what you think is worth taking and with a breath of kindness, blow the rest away!!
Let me know what you think!
Cheers

Bless ya’ll.
I’ve been enjoying the notes for the past 8 days but this is my first day to comment. I especially liked the reminder to “intend to manifest the necessary talent.…to become the kind of purposeful person I am destined to be”. Very powerful for me today. So glad to be here.
Today’s thoughts made me think of something that I was taught a long time ago and fits here today perfectly. When individuals sometimes say that they do not listen to the morning or evening news because of all the negativity, I often respond — That is the perfect opportunity to reach into the negativity and” pray for the highest good” of the persons who are experiencing that difficulty. Do not become mired in the sadness; rather lift the others out of it in your prayer/wish/longing for that person. How? Just simply say: I pray for his/her/their highest good. God knows what they need. We just bring our intention for that person/individuals to become all that they can in that situation “that we have judged negative”.
Dyer has been rocking the modern philosophical & psychological world for the past 30 + years and I LOVE the pearls of wisdom you can harvest from his books, both classic and current. I listen to my PN mp3s on my morning commute and AM talk radio on my evening commute. Out of all the amazing gifts Dyer offers in his books and the bazillion tidbits of genius offered in the PN, the one thing that resonated with me the most this morning was that it is important to appreciate and celebrate the daily processes of our life’s work instead of focusing so much on the end result. As synchronicity and Carl Jung would have it, I was listening to talk radio this evening and, though the overall topic was political in nature, a guy called in and explained the military concept of “Target Fixation.” He said that military pilots have to be mindful of the designated target, but not to ONLY focus on the target, because in doing so, the pilot loses peripheral awareness of his environment, making him vulnerable to becoming a target himself, or falling victim to environmental hazards, such as fodder, other planes/helicopters, weather, etc.
Genius! It’s amazing how when we open ourselves up to the lessons of the soul, the universe sends us multiple reminders of the lesson to help it become solidified in our minds. AM drive/PM drive… these commutes are becoming my meditation on wheels.
Great note! Loved The Power of Intention and this is nice one too!
For me today the note that rings clearest is “Acting As If”. This is SO simple, but it points to that fundamental sleepwalking mindset most of us are stuck in 99% of the time. It’s like that “wake up dummy…you are a divine child too!” that I hear as the central teaching of Jesus, but many people seem to not hear…or remember.
Acting As If also brings to mind the old “Fake It ’til You Make It” chestnut, but it is more truthful (in a sneaky way!) than that. You are not faking it. You are waking up to it…by stretching for it. Eventually you “remember” who you are! (There’s that handshake deal again!)
And really…isn’t it SO easy to picture your highest self??? Of all the things you can “visualize”, isn’t this the clearest thing in your heart? The hard part is REMEMBERING to Act As If!
My journal is overflowing with notes from this one, and my biggest take away “Stop using sentences in your material world that reflect what it is you do not want to be.” As I reviewed my journal, I’ve realized that I have jounaled some negative things that have happened, but have not countered it with a positive view of the way I would have liked the situation(s) to turn out. That’s an immediate change I’ll be making in my future writings!
I love Wayne Dyer! He has inspired me and through some of his teachings and ideas, brought great happiness into my life!
Nice to see Dyer here. I’ve been reading his work since I was 13 or 14, starting with “Your Erroneous Zones”. “No Limits”, “Act as if” and the Intention Inventory stand out for me. I intend on doing the Intention Inventory straight away!
A lot of the Big Ideas are getting a bit redundant — not that I necessarily mind hearing them repeatedly — or having my own thinking confirmed a hundred times over by best-selling authors
I really like Dyer’s energy on TV (I’ve watched a couple of his PBS specials and thought they were very nice). There’s nothing I disagree with in this note, but if I absolutely had to choose 3 favorites I’d say:
1. Focus on the path not the prize/result
2. Serve, serve, serve (btw economic theory and marketing knowledge confirm this too)
3. Bless others rather than feeling envy — rid yourself of negativity that festers (yuck!)
Peace
I really enjoyed the note on “Real Magic”. It was a treat going over this material. I especially enjoyed the big idea on the Seven Beliefs for Manifesting Real Magic; that’s some really powerful stuff. If only everyone was aware, that would be great! I also like the idea of creating a list on how we can be of service to others. Arete!
“Next …” I so love this. What a simple way to drop the erroneous thought.
o I have always found it difficult to set goals for myself. I have never understood what I really want but I’m going to use Dr. Dyer’s idea which is first deciding ‘what kind of a person I want to be’ and ‘what I can do to serve others’ . It is as though these two questions are the seeds to eventual success in all areas of life. When one gives positive energy and nourishment to these to aspects, roots grow and become strong and then you have a strong shoot long before you know it, which is eventual success!
I love this notes very much, especially the quote: ” The spiritual being sees the physical world as an arena for growth and learning with the specific purpose of serving and evolving into higher levels of love” Soon or later we will realize it as a final truth” If we live like that, all the other things we need will come to us.
I have some questions for this Notes:
1) what is the difference between “act as if is” (to vision the outcome you want to be and act as if you already is it), and “focus on the path but not the outcome during the journey.” It sounds somehow contradictory to each other; however it might be in harmony at some level/point. Can anyone share some thoughts?
2) how to be “removing/ nexting” the negative thoughts/habits without judgment. Will it be a “judgment” already when we label them on our “no/negative thought” list? I used to do the same things as Brian suggested in the notes: to “pick up” any negative thought flashing across my mind, and then ask them to leave. The result is, the more I “picked” the more they “pop” up, as they are playing with me. Finally I give it up, and then it quiet down. I guess something is not correct with my way. Actually thoughts are just thoughts, no bad not good, it is human living in the polarity reality give them the concept of good or bad, and make them split and conflicting with each other, like good people/force, bad people/force in the world. However the final solution is to reunion the two and make it neutral to “nothing”. Hope to see your comments on this.
Sandy
Purpose and service, how can I contribute to my purpose in this moment. Brilliant!
Also, bless the things you admire in others, anything I want or desire, I will bless the quality and purpose when I see it in the world
For me the big one was, “Just let go! Don’t strain to achieve; instead, enjoy the process of the work that you are doing. The results will come independent of your striving for them. When your mind is on the result rather than what you are doing, you create inner discord that blocks any and all possibilities for miracles to show up. Prosperity is about process, not outcome. Purpose is about loving and giving.”
I felt my body relaxing and shifting as I read that, and my day (which was looking kinda rough and overwhelming as I got up) gets much more calm, fulfilling, and enjoyable.
Ahhhhhhhhh. I like that feeling. As this also matches the response I had to the “just live for today” big idea from Day 3 (Dale Carnagie’s “How to Stop Worrying and Start Living”), I’m getting a pretty good idea that this is a theme for me to soak in for a bit.
So I feel both the urgency to get the goal manifested and the magic of “just do today and enjoy the process” in me at the same time, when I think about it. And it feels weird. Not like an internal battle… not like a frustration… but like a buzzy energy that I think will take some getting used to. (Similar to an “Apex” blend in a Big Mind mediation).
I think today’s “do differently” is just about letting both of these meld in me and see what happens.
Great video. My takeaways:
****Acting As If****
Such a brilliant, simple takeaway. Often times we are being so reactionary that we fail to think about what our greatest self would do.
****Prosperity*****
To go forward hopefully. Hopefully in the sense that you are full of hope, wonder and ambition. How we are optimistically moving forward in our lives.
****The Master****
For me, this ties directly into the concept of prosperity. The master loves the path, the journey and hopes the journey will never end. The master doesnt long for the destination, he/she enjoys the adventure. I think the master is humble because while he/she is a Master, he or she also realizes that there is a level of understanding provided by being on the journey. The fruits of his/her efforts come naturally and are of little significance to being on the journey, being one with self.
As always everything sounds great. But some things are easy to do, some not. No more criticizing, complaining, blaming, gossiping( God forbid!)), comparing — all seem to be a piece of cake. But, in fact when I give it a closer look, I really do them every they. Being a teacher I do criticize and I do complain about the growing number of students whose rights keep growing and duties decreasing. It is getting more and more difficult to work at school nowadays. Next. Next. It it is worth trying.I’ll journal my “No’s” first thing in the morning. Or, should I do it right now?!
I like acting “as if” very much. “As if” can be a wonderful play. We, grown-ups have forgotten how to play and how to laugh from the bottom of our heart. As if can help us retrieve some of the childish innocence. If we add our life experience and knowledge to it a lot of things can come to their due place. That way we might really “Become detached from the outcome of (your) our actions” and let the level of our performance climb.
Real magic is both powerful and enlightening, the idea that everything in the universe has purpose and is guided by an invisible intelligence that flows through everything in a purposeful action is awesome. This note speaks to one’s prime objective of finding their purpose in life and developing a plan to self actualize that purpose. I am not so certain that I completely agree with or understand Dyer’s seven beliefs for manifesting real magic but certainly the invisible force that guides us to our life’s purpose. There is great strength in Dyer’s words as that purpose transcends the “me” and focuses on how we can contribute to the lives of others.
Let’s face it, our time on this planet is short and the purpose of each of our lives is to identify what we can do to make this planet a garden for every living creature. If this was not our purpose then why would we have been put here.
The Reverend. I love Wayne Dyer.
No Limits — awesome. Find your Purpose — challenging. Serve — …will people want what I have to give? Disdain Disbelief — disregard my doubts. No Limits — remember?
Wayne Dyer —Real Magic
I like the idea of purpose helping us be enlightened about our life path. I obviously have resistance toward being handed many beliefs without time to evaluate them. All Dyer’s big ideas filtered out by Brian stike me as valuable and worth learning to use for those I don’t use much or to improve for those I use already.
I see beliefs as the very source of what we think and do and although Dyer seems to have intentions to give us beliefs that will make up more powerful he is nevertheless adding to the unslaught of beliefs that invade our space each day. I agree we all would be better off with improved beliefs but I wonder what test we can give to them to be sure they are in fact good for us.
I have several books on beliefs in my personal library that I’ve studied such as: Metaphors We Live By authored by George Lakoff and Mark Johnson, Beliefs and Values by Karl Scheibe, The Biology of Belief by Bruce Lipton, Mindset by Carol Dweck, The Power of Belief by Ray Dodd, Why We Believe What We Believe by Andrew NewBerg and Mark Waldman, and Virus of the Mind by Richard Brodie. In short, most of us are already loaded up with unchallenged beliefs so I think we need to be cautious what else we let inside our minds. There is more than magic involved in this process.
One thing I have decided about beliefs is that they are rarely always true. In fact they are most likely to be relative to situations you are in or are becoming involved with. So I choose to believe some things because it appears to enable me or strengthens me for my life path journey. On the other hand some beliefs may help me climb the ladder of success faster, but along the way I may come to realize that ladder is on the wrong wall, taking me somewhere I don’t really want to go.
One of my heroes, Albert Schweitzer, in his book The Philosophy of Civilization taught that unless mankind embraced his “reverence for life” (belief), AKA his philosophy for all life on the planet, civilization was headed for disaster “… reaping a bitter harvest of psychological malaise, identity crises, conflicts of purpose, social anxiety, collective frustration and chronic economic despair.” Was he right, was that belief true. I think so but many I’m sure don’t agree because they certainly have not moved to a philosophy of reverence of life.
It has been my personal experience that when I set out to list all my major beliefs I had to stop when I reached about 350. Maybe you would have reached 500 or even 1,000 but I guess we all have our limits. I found that at 350 I could no longer be sure whether I already wrote that belief down. And once I got a basic list I also found that as I reread the list I would tweak the belief description to agree with my current view thus creating a continual changing list. Belief management is not a trivial project.
So many well meaning guidelines are given to us as we search for wisdom of life—know thyself, know what your beliefs are, know what your values are, know what you purpose(s) are—and these seemingly simple requests are actually lifetime projects. Yet they are the very foundation that supports are endeavors. Depending upon how well we develop those critical factors we may be open to receive what others recommend depending upon how that guidance matches our foundational beliefs. It is true that new beliefs may change your outlook but is that good or ill advised for our life journey?
I have done some personal work on service and have two books to recommend on that topic: How Can I Help? By Ram Dass and Paul Gorman (How to connect closely with others to help them by giving personal support) and In The Tiger’s Mouth by Katrina Shields (Helps activists overcome burnout).
this one gave me an answer I have been diligently seeking
http://planetbi-polar.blogspot.com/
I love the notion that “people who believe only what they can see or prove scientifically are limited by the current level of sophistication of our measuring devices.” Helps to remind me that there’s certainly more to all of this, whatever it is, than what we see, and that with the right tools – perhaps even with more simply (or more complexly) the right perspective, we can see things differently, new things, powerful things.
Keeping your eyes on the path not the prize is powerful. In tune with the baby steps we’ve talked about, the compartmentalized days, the living in the moment that gets us where we’re going – and importantly, gets us where we are meant to go, where our life purpose needs us to go, not just where we “think” we would “like” to go.
Now, that doesn’t mean that I shouldn’t have goals in mind and in vision, we do need that North Star I think. But we also need the flexibility to reimagine those goals as we move along our path of prosperity.
I also like the idea of blessing those who have prosperity, as it ties into Laws of Attraction I think quite nicely, as does a lot of Dyer’s work here. Imagine it and then act the part, take on the role and yes, go forward hopefully. When I read this it reminded me of the theme of “hope” in a favorite movie, The Shawshank Redemption, wherein Red doesn’t believe in Hope, but Andy helps him discover it, and in the film’s final minutes Red’s narrative is quite literally full of “hope” as he journeys to find and join his friend….
Red: Let me tell you something my friend. Hope is a dangerous thing. Hope can drive a man insane.
But later…
Andy Dufresne: Forget that… there are places in this world that aren’t made out of stone. That there’s something inside… that they can’t get to, that they can’t touch. That’s yours.
Red: What’re you talking about?
Andy Dufresne: Hope.
And then….
Andy Dufresne: [in letter to Red] Remember Red, hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies.
And lastly…
Red: [narrating] I find I’m so excited, I can barely sit still or hold a thought in my head. I think it’s the excitement only a free man can feel, a free man at the start of a long journey whose conclusion is uncertain. I hope I can make it across the border. I hope to see my friend, and shake his hand. I hope the Pacific is as blue as it has been in my dreams. I hope.
Loved this quote from Dr Dyer
“How do you surrender? Just let go!
I’ve made it a mantra for how I live my life.
Wayne Dyer is another one of my favorites, while I have read several of his books I have not read Real Magic, principles kind of reminded me of Jack Canfield’s Aladdin factor. I certainly agree that finding one’s purpose is foundational to both happiness and achievement, when we are doing things that ignite our purpose we feel as one with the universe. From my own perspective, my purpose is helping others find their purpose, which is extremely rewarding when it works. What is your purpose?
Thank you again, Brian. You reminded me of a few things that I had not included in my day to day thinking, for a while now. Wonderful. Back to it!
Plus, I’ve had a couple of nudges this week (including from my own book!), to use a daily journal. I’ll now set that up in my schedule.
Cheers, Thea

“Let your one delight and refreshment be to pass from one service to the community to another, with God ever in mind.”
This isn’t from Dyer’s “Real Magic,” but rather from Marcus Aurelius. Nevertheless, it sums up much of what’s in this book. Another way of thinking about it comes from Brian’s PhilosopherNote: “A key aspect of Dyer’s “Real Magic” formula is to live a life of purpose—where we’re less focused on “outcomes” and more focused on living with integrity to our highest purpose. The book is all about getting in touch with that purpose and rockin’ it from there.”
One of the most Disruptive Thoughts in this book for me, was the emphasis on the dual ideas of purpose and service. For 20 years, I’ve been writing and thinking about the interplay between these two concepts. It has informed my Infinity Training Model (ITM) and is at the heart of the book I’ve been writing in my mind for the past two decades.
Dyer says it this way: “When you are able to shift your inner awareness to how you can serve others, and when you make this the central focus of your life, you will then be in a position to know true miracles in your progress toward prosperity.”
Entrepreneurial in spirit and team-based in approach, ITM is an approach to leadership development that builds upon the experiences, knowledge and skills of a diverse group of people to create a cadre of leaders committed to public service and public problem-solving. It is intended to teach the skills and concepts that they can then teach to others. This ripple effect has the potential for reaching thousands with renewed hope and an increased involvement in participatory democracy.
Philosophically, ITM recognizes the natural tension that exists between individual and community development—and by focusing on six key concepts—works to maximize personal leadership potential while making positive, community-based social change possible. ITM combines many of the country’s most innovative training practices in a way that supports the development of authentic leadership and ensures community development.
More from Dyer: “When you go beyond outcome in life you find yourself unconcerned about what is in it for you. Thoughts, feelings and behavior focus more and more on the fulfillment of your purpose. You go beyond success, achievement and performance as indications of your life’s mission. Instead, every moment is lived fully and lovingly.”
In Mobile, AL the other day, my cab driver was also a local Baptist minister and he and I chatted about the idea that Dyer calls “Acting As If.” He had a more spiritual spin on it. I had a more secular idea. But, we both agreed with its importance in achieving the goals we set for ourselves. Then I re-read Dyer and he says the same thing. It’s another disruptive thought and I really like it!
“The fact is, for myself, I know that if I believe strongly enough, and have enough confidence in myself to learn what I need, then there are very few things that I could not accomplish in a rather short period of time. Once you know you can do it, and act that way, the means will be obvious. Acting as if you were what you want to become and know you can become is the way to remove self-doubt and enter your real-magic kingdom.”
how funny how I’ve “met” Wayne Dyer,I just turn the tv on PBS back when I was living in California, and he was talking about the Power of Intention, you know those moments when you feel like the radio is playing this particular song , or jump across this book, the feeling of a conspiring Universe, feeling of connection and a perfectly timely delivered message!
Thank you for these great notes, Intention, Purpose, Acting as if, No limits, and the Next! tip!!
pretty amazing it is how some people don’t believe in what they don’t see!?
These notes feel like ancres that help me stay focused and reminded , Thank YOU !!!
Part 1 of 3
Hi Peeps!
Ok slowly getting myself caught up with the PN challenge. Work threw a bit of curveball at me (I had a last minute business trip) and well I had to shift my energies and focus entirely on work. Before I go on commenting on about Real Magic I have to say that my mindset and my attitude has already shifted in a much better place and I have this challenge to thank for that. Over the last few weeks the old me would have bitched and complained about work and how unfair it is that I still have to work when I want to do something more. I also would have used the last few weeks as a “sign” that I am not meant to do what I most desire and the Universe is just providing all these obstacles and inconveniences to stop me from getting what I most want.
Part 2 of 2
NOT SO!!!! Instead of going into that place of bitching and complaining I reminded that I am the co creator of my Life and that on some level what I attract into my life is somethng that my divine self knows is an experience that I am meant to learn through. So I welcomed the challenging two weeks, trusted my intuitive vibes on how to handle what I was given and opened up myself up to the lessons I am meant to learn. I also practiced full engagement, something my coach suggested I do with work. And most importantly I made sure to love every moment of it and have fun along the way! It toally worked! I was less stressed, had tons of energy and ended up seeing a friend who I hadn’t seen in three years…cool!!! THANK YOU!!!!
Part 3 of 3
Ok on the Real Magic. I love this whole concept of living with purpose. It made me think of doing things “on purpose” v. doing them “with purpose”. When I think of doing things on purpose I think of doing them unconciously, without integrity and with the ultimate goal of causing aggrivation to someone else. I admit that until a few weeks ago i did this a lot at my current job. I would purposely hand in my work late as a way to rebel against my boss and always as a way to show that I gave two sh*ts about my job (harsh but true!). This creatd a lot of anxiety and stress for me and in the end made me feel like the bigges loser because I was presenting myself in a way that is totally the opposite of who I really am. So now I doing things “with purpose” meaning I am acting from a place of conciousness, integrity, alignment, pure presence and more joy. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! Not only am I less stressed but I am more focused, more welcoming to others, more willing to work more (who would have thought!) and my body doesn’t seem so heavy. Living with purpose is the way to go! Most def my biggest take away from this note!
Part 4 of 4
Another thing i loved about this note was the concept of no limits and the example of how most people did not believe in microscopic existence until they could see it with their own eyes. This is something that I really need to work on with my desires b/c I have a tendency to place a limits on them. Of course this relates to me really having that unshakeable faith in my desires and fully trusting how they will naturally unfold. Thanks to the notes my mindset is slowly becoming more limitless and I have been creating habits that strengthen my unshakeable faith and trust. It has definitely be a journey of a lot undoing and letting in new thoughts but I am totally loving it! Thank You!
Real Magic. How to Manifest this in your life.
Go inward and become aware of your purpose, then live it fully — every moment with integrity and love giving it to the world. There is a distinct focus or attention shift that is essential to this manifesting. Shifting your attention from outcome living to EVERY MOMENT. The journey becomes the most beautiful thing you will ever encounter.
Tools along the way.
ACT AS IF — ACT NOW. This is an extremely powerful tool.
Rejoice in the prosperity of others — don’t block the miracles by filling yourself with negativity.
Nexting, Journaling, Intention Inventory!
Enjoyed this note — wonderful tools.

Quit worrying about outcome, says Wayne Dyer. Instead, discover what you’re good at and then give it to the world. Just get into the process of loving what you’re doing. As a (part-time) playwright, I never think about the final outcome. I’m usually right in the moment. When I experience writer’s block, it’s usually because I’m thinking about outcome: how will the audience react? What will the critics say? Will it be successful? But when I just trust my ability and stay in the moment, I usually get myself right back on track.
I need to do that or really start on the Morning Pages exercise from The Artists Way. Good point…
In case you still didn’t find it, I just posted it here for Blkdogsoul, but here it is again: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-L_guMiTpc
