Thank you for this page! I’ve been wanting to do the notes in the morning but only get the emails in the afternoon (I’m in Europe) so this is perfect!

        Hi Brian
Some really weird stuff happening on the site today — out of Sync, Intense debate only working sometimes with Chrome (though still working with IE) — really short message length limit — had to post in 12 parts today — wasn’t that much more than normal.

hey ted! weird. hmmmm… it sounds like it’s on Intense Debate’s side and out of our control. thx for the heads up and patience. forwarded your note to our team!

            Hi Brain
Not sure how else to contact you.
Do you know that Zaadz/Gaia is closing this week?
Are you interested in doing anything to keep the community alive?

            Any thoughts?

            Can contact me on ted@fishnet.co.nz

            Cheers

            Ted

Mmm I’m curious now I have the running order. Is there any specific reason for the books being in this order or is it just random?

    • BrianJohnson
      January 15, 2010 | 2:23 am

hey alison! the order is kinda random! :) i love em all and we could have rocked all of the 100 in pretty much any order and it would have been fun! :)

Thank you for this page. Thought I would fall behind. Now I won’t. I need help with the IntenseDebate aspect. I signed up but am lost. I don’t see (links) to his Debate is see only the comments at the end of the of the Note page. Nothing that links us into an IntenseDebate format. Am I OTL?

    • BrianJohnson
      January 15, 2010 | 2:25 am

i think you’re actually seeing all there is, krys! what’s cool about intense debate is that, as you may notice, the replies are right next to the person who originally commented. then, if you reply to my reply, it will all be neatly organized! :)

I understand. Thank you Brian. Essentially, the error f perception is mine in the form of an expectation. I expected that my personal registration with IntenseDebate was required. That does not appear to be the case.

I am enjoying he challenge and the community. Thank you for the notes and you active participation in the community.

I want to say thankyou for the tv notes also. You put a slightly different slant on things, or something, maybe its just because you say it as you think it and it reinforces what you just said in the notes.
Well anyway it works for me and I want to say thankyou for the time you have spent by covering three types of learning possibilities. Reading, listening and watching.
    You Roc

I’m sharing the notes with my family everyday at dinner time. I live with my wife, two sons aged 20 and 17 and two nieces aged 18. It’s being really interesting to share and discuss with them all this stuff. Besides, it requires from me that I read and understand each note for put it even a bit shorter. In the end, even a single big idea each day is a great asset to each of them.

    Brian,

Thank you so much for adding the TV piece. I was so excited to receive the package in the mail with the notebook and the mp3. I am looking forward to the daily 10 minute boost. I know you know this but you are touching so many lives it is lovely. Grateful to be a part of this journey with you.

    Create a GREAT day!

The biggest point I took away from today’s note is that of segment intending. Often times I get the idea or the picture, but there is so much to it, so much I want to do, that it all starts to get jumbled together. I can only imagine the sort of intention I am sending out. Taking the time to set a distinct intention to each segment of my day, goal, or big dream will definitely refine the signals that I am sending. It is almost like tuning in to a slightly different frequency for each segment.

Weekends off what a great idea, it will give me a chance to reread all the awesome content you have provided us in the philosophers notes Brian.
What a fantastic week it has been.

I love the idea of affecting vs infecting. A very potent summary of the energy we give and the energy we receive. Speaking of giving and receiving. To give and to receive in balance is powerful

I am so inspired, this is like a feast for the heart and spirit!
To know there are so many others out there inspired and filling themselves with good thoughts and valuable knowledge and wisdom is awesome. As we help ourselves become who we are here to be, we help the world become a better, kinder place. I like it.

I never gave a proper thanks to Brian Johnson for hooking me up with the “Philosopher’s Notes” scholarship. THANK YOU!!! It has been absolutely amazing to get glimpses into so many great works. It will take me a long time to read all of the actual books, but this gives me a great idea of which ones to do first. It has been a great 50 days. I look forward to my morning meditation followed by “P Notes” while I get ready and ride my bike to work (I have headphones on quiet for safety). I re-listen again at the rec center while working out.

Brian, if you read this, I just wanted to tell you how awesome the notes are and give you a huge high five. You should be very proud, keep, in your own words, “Rockin it” like you do. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
