In an enlightening short 12-minute talk, Sherwin Nuland, a practicing surgeon for 3 decades, discusses hope and the human spirit. According to Sherwin Nuland, hope is often offered as an abstract idea, and not a concrete word. Hope is about the human spirit–which is the ability that each of us has to be greater than him or her self. Hope does not consist of the expectation that things will come out exactly right–but the expectation that they will make sense when they come out.
Spend an enlightened 12-minutes and let Sherwin Nuland show you why hope makes you desire to become a better person, and create a better world. This talk lets you focus on the road ahead for your life and how you can make it better starting today.

This is a great positive mental speech .I think this is valueable for everyone .
I enjoyed viewing the Sherwin Newland video on “Exploring the notion of hope and the human spirit.“
Please convey to Mr. Newland, that his gratuitous reference to Ex President George Bush was unwarranted and contradicts his humanistic message about compassion and identifying with your fellow human being. As Samuel Johnston observed, “if God himself does not judge man, why should you or I.” Mr. Newland shoul also keep in mind this quote when speaking in public by Hanna Arendt, “let the greater truth prevail.” In the end, we are all souls in progression, changing, learning, and growing.
I liked the video ‚the truth is difficult to accept .All souls are only in learning and growing .The truth of breath makes the change.
I enjoyed his quirky sorta dry humor.Solid message, thank you.
Inspiring and insightful. Thanks for the great speech and motivation.
