Emotional Freedom Techniques — Good Or Bad Science?

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) have been making headlines for quite a while in the healing and scientific community.

In this video, you can see EFT being performed on a woman who’s suffered from sexual molestation. The results are amazing.

The way EFT works is by tapping on certain acupuncture points while focusing on a specific traumatic memory. This will balance the system and neutralize negative emotion. It’s based on the theory that negative emotions are caused by disturbances in your body’s energy system.

But there’s been a lot of debate over EFT with studies proving and disproving the technique.  I want to hear your honest opinions of EFT.  Has it worked for you or do you know anyone who’s undergone EFT  before?

And if you know any reliable sources and studies on EFT, drop us a comment.

I have been using this technique for some of my clients, it worked with some and not others. i believe that everyone is different and will react differently to some technique. I have been using TFT (thought field therapy) very similar to EFT with the other half of my clients and that worked better. The best way is to try: because something doesn’t work for you, doesn’t mean it won’t work for someone else.

I used EFT to fight with my fear of water when I was learning how to swim. As, I’m 26 it is not that easy to let go. People tend to think too much and then swimming gets difficult.

I was trying to learn on and off how to swim for the last 2 years, but never quite did it. This time I used EFT and I finally did it :) . So it does work.

I would say, as with anything else, if you trust it can help, it will. Another technique that people use for that is the Sedona method. Also very powerful one.

EFT is wonderful and I have found it to be invaluable. The more you know about it and take time to study it, the more value you will find in it.

I have personally let go of waiting on “science” and “official studies” to prove or disprove something. The proof is in the proving of it… does it work for you? Yes? Then you have a winner. No? Then continue your search. The Universe doesn’t need “science” to justify or understand its existence; it exists, and science is trying to understand it.

Prove for YOURSELF what is good, true and right. Nobody can find your way in life… It’s for you to find. EFT helped me…maybe it can help you, too.
