That was just wonderful and encouraging.THE FACT IS..I have always felt a 'DEVINE INSPIRATION" in all my writings.[poems / music-lyrics]..This can happen at any moment of the day.[I keep writng materials close by at all times].IT IS VERY FLEETING..My deeply spiritual inspirations, seem to come at night for some reason..I never feel as tho these things come from..Only that I was 'OPEN TO IT'. A CONDUIT FOR the sharing of these thoughts/concepts..There are times that I recieve a 'subject" for inspiration and just open my heart to it..IT DOES NOT SEEM TO COME FROM OPENING MY MIND..
I do believe there has to be a"passion".. A NEED FOR SHARING.
WELL,I'M NOT WRITING A BOOK HERE. HA,HA,HA.. SO I WILL JUST STOP.GOD WORKS IN UNKNOWN WAYS..

Thank you, Neil & Elizabeth! Very inspiring talk. Showing up is the most important thing; the rest writes itself during the process.

With tears in my eyes all I can say is Ole to you Elizabeth. You have inspired me once again to be all I've dream to be.
I just came back from a 5 month life changing trip to India. A life time dream finally made a reality after reading Eat, Pray, Love!

Thank you for letting your genius be part of our world!

Very illuminating, indeed! Thanks for showing up, and for sharing your insight - this helps us get out of our own way and allow more perfect expressions of the One to manifest. The most beautiful and exquisite reflection of the Divine beams outward when we relax and intend to provide the environment through our life for the One to mirror and acknowledge itself. Every single action is an expression of this One, of God, and we are each a particle of this Great Being, along with the infinitely numerous permutations and shapes/sizes/colors/flavors of the One, being itself, and exisiting independently of singularity and duality, outside of the dome of mind-created time and space parameters. One notion occured to me during your video presentation - you mentioned what happens when the artist wakes up Tuesday at 11am and is returned to his state of life, no longer the Divine, now only back as his lil self. Maybe this is not the case, but that every single breath and action is the Divine, is another expression of the One - how could it be otherwise? There is no place the One is not. Our attachment to being this or that - perhaps - colors whether we think we are this or that. We are all ways this, and that, always and forever breathing in and out as God, as the One. Something to consider...thanks again! Love ya! Eddie Keyes ejkeyes@gmail.cm

I like your poem, phantom. Such a moving video. I can feel it now ..no time, no space to do justice to the feelings felt while listening to Elizabeth Gilbert.

Thank you. .

Here's mine to you all.

H P and L V

Life force in the universe
beware of folly within
I carry forces unseen
from beyond wildest dream
above incantation or curse.
Switch two letters
put both edges on
this word divides in two
loss creates gain with this covert force
I am giving to you.
The "O" and the "E"
stay in place.
"H P" and "L V" trade sequence in space. .
when the cut of lost love threatens our death
life clings to "hope" inside one more breath.
Go now to the perfect image
the Lord and Creator in you
the cutting edge is "love"
the return edge is "hope"
now the sword you wield is true.

Catching the genii by its tail & having the poem written in reverse : this is indeed what life is... just a drama, where in between , the lines fade out, new scenes spring forth & u r left on yr own, to enter your own lines. The see-saw continues : pockets of alternating inspiration & slog work.

I'd like to begin by saying how much I loved "Eat Pray Love," and feel, as exemplified in this twenty minute video clip, you have a great deal more to share with us.
Not only was the content of this video clip of tremendous importance to ANY artist watching, but your delivery of this
information was particularly effective. There is something so inviting about genuinely important information, being presented with equal parts levity, seriousness, and a bit of self-deprecation, thrown in for good measure.
I have been a singer/songwriter, since the late'70s, and your description of having a song, or poem appear on one's horizon, and the mad rush involved, reaching pen and paper, tape recorder, etc., to prevent that moment from slipping away, was so amazingly accurate. I always refer to the songs that come "intact," both lyrics and melody, as a "downpour." I would have to stop, "pre cellphone" at the nearest pay phone, and sing into my answering machine.
Thank you, for both reminding me that this anxiety is part of the creative process, but, more importantly, for underscoring what I have always believed to be true; our creativity is a Divine Gift.

This sharing has confirmed beautifully so much of the creative process which I have experienced for myself and how I tap into it and it taps upon me, as a songwriter, poet, storyteller and musician.
Thank You Elizabeth Gilbert!!!... for your insight and heart to help us all to keep us safe and sound and to keep a healthy perspective on the priceless value of being an artist.
