In fact, David Lynch has been practicing the Transcendental Meditation technique twice a day, for 20 minutes each time, for 32 years.

Check out the article below to find out more about this movie. Can't wait till it comes out!

Can Drugs Enhance Your Spiritual Journey? Deepak Chopra Thinks So

by Gabrielle Lim1

Go on. Smoke up. You know you want to. Okay, probably not something you'd hear when it comes to spirituality, but just for a moment entertain the thought that drugs could help you reach enlightenment.

Deepak Chopra seems to think it's okay.

Whatever your feelings are about "puff, puff, pass" spirituality, check out this short video where Deepak Chopra makes a very good case for it. It's funny too.

Your Personal Logo – What Symbolizes Who You Are?

by Editorial Team116

personal symbolSymbols are a very important part of our life. We might not realize it but a company logo or a small emblem can trigger strong emotions or thoughts in us. Everyday, we're flooded with symbols, such as:

  • Lion = bravery, courage, king of the jungle
  • The crucifix = Christianity, sacrifice, Jesus
  • Dove = peace, hope.
  • Shamrock = Ireland, luck, Saint Patrick's day

If you had to pick one symbol, glyph, drawing, or logo that would represent YOU, what would it be?

Drop a comment below and let us know what your personal symbol is and why. If Bruce Wayne had a bat, what would you have?

A Radically Different Path To Experiencing True Joy, Wisdom, Power And Abundance – Ending The “Human Game”

by Robert Scheinfeld14

Editor's Note: Before you start reading watch this special video message from Robert Scheinfeld:

Get the Flash Player to see this player.

Our discussion here begins with a discussion of The Truth of who you really are. Who you really are is what I call an “Infinite Being” – a magnificent being who lives in a constant state of infinite power, wisdom, abundance, and joyfulness. Along your journey, you’ve no doubt heard something like this:

"We are Spiritual Beings having a physical experience."lightbeing1

That’s true, but it’s the little-known True nature of our “physical experience” I want to chat with you about here.
Your natural state as an Infinite Being also includes having an unlimited desire to play, explore, and express yourself creatively. As a result, you decided you wanted to play a game called "The Human Game."

We’re all here playing The Human Game!

The Human Game - What is it and why do we play it?

I define the term “game” as anything we do for entertainment, fun, challenge, and to express ourselves creatively. As such, to me, sports and traditional games like checkers, chess, bridge, and monopoly are games. But so is painting sculpting, playing a musical instrument, reading novels, watching plays, movies or TV shows, etc.
For purposes of discussion and using metaphors in this article, however, I’m going to focus 100% on sports games. All sports games have specific structures, themes, “playing fields,” and specific ways of winning. Read More…

Zen At The Push Of A Button – Free Holosync Audio Tracks For Better Meditation

by Vishen Lakhiani20

Hey guys,

A couple weeks ago, both Bill Harris and I were speaking at the Engage Today event in Calgary along with the Dalai Lama and Richard Branson.

Screen shot 2009-10-14 at 3.42.21 PM

From left to right: Brad (Centrepointe's CEO), Vishen, and Bill Harris (the genius behind the Centrepointe invention)

I also managed to have breakfast with Bill and his lovely wife.

If you don't know who Bill is, he's the owner and creator of Centerpointe and Holosync. I told him how great of a response our company had with Holosync. Even our COO, Juan, has been using Centerpointe on a daily basis in the mornings and it takes him into states of meditation he's never experienced before. Recently, Juan was able to meditate for 1 hour non-stop for the first time because of this!

Now, given the number of people at my company and all my friends who rave about Centerpointe, I really wanted to make sure all the readers at FinerMinds knew about this CD.

Basically it works like this: by listening to specific sounds engineered by Bill, your brain will go into a deeper state of consciousness. arrow-3d1

Achieving Zen In The Workplace

by Gabrielle Lim6

zen workplaceWork isn't the first place we think of when we hear the word zen. In fact it can be quite the opposite.

Traditionally, zen, meditation, yoga, or "being present" aren't what you would call your typical career attributes. But this is shifting drastically.

Companies like Google, Apple, are starting to realize the benefits of meditation and personal growth workshops for their employees. Even athletes like Tiger Woods claims that his path to success comes from "staying in the present."

Check out this cool article on the new trends that are taking over the business environment. Maybe you can even show it to your boss and see if the company will sponsor some meditation classes ;)

But if your company isn't as advanced as say Google or Apple are, what are you doing to keep zen at the workplace. Drop a comment below with your tips. I'd definitely love to hear them

Despite all the hubbub, he is locked into the moment. Read More…

When Will Spirituality Break Out Of Its Stereotypes?

by Gabrielle Lim1

spiritualityOkay, spirituality has definitely come a long way but we're not out of the woods yet.

The words meditation, personal growth, and spirituality still smack of misconception. People still have that picture in their mind of a fat guy eating ice cream standing in the self-help weight-loss section of the book store. Or worse, of a new-age, shoeless, hippie making daisy chains.

Of course, spirituality and personal growth have come a long way, there's no doubt about that. Even rap moguls like 50 Cent and Jay-Z are getting into this field.

But as we move into the more popular domains of the media, does this mean people will start taking spirituality seriously? Read More…

6 Books That Made A Difference To Jay-Z: A Rapper’s Take On Life And Spirituality

by Gabrielle Lim9

jay-z and oprahIf you haven't heard the news, Jay-Z was recently interviewed by Oprah. While I didn't watch the whole interview, one thing that struck me was his take on life and in particular the books that had influenced him.

Love him or hate him, Jay-Z is a genius. He hasn't forgotten his roots, is an entrepreneurial whiz, is a champion giver to charities, and let's not forget his incredible ability to make money (his net worth is estimated to be at $150 million).

And if you give his list of books a look, you'll realize this millionaire rapper is a lot deeper than he appears.

If you're wondering, here is his list of books. Doubtless there are more that have influenced him but these are the top 6:

The Seat of the Soul by Gary Zukav
The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield Read More…

Introducing Vegemania! – For Healthy Living, Longevity and Wellness

by Mohana Gill17

mohanaI truly believe that fruits and vegetables perform a key role in our lives today and that our diet is pivotal to our wellness. A diet that consists of fruits and vegetables is far superior to all the other kinds of food that we eat.

“He who has health has hope and he who has hope has everything”

- Arabian Proverb -

And you better believe it. The world’s leading medical specialists are more and more saying how having a predominantly vegetarian diet has the potential of reducing a string of heart problems, fights cancer, helps induce fat loss and generally improve your health and wellness…

But there’s more to it than that.

Mohana Gill is author and chef of Vegemania! which received "Best Vegetarian Book In The World" and Fruitastic! which received the "Special Jury Award" by the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards. She is well known in the culinary world, with friends such as Oprah Winfrey’s chef endorsing her recipes and cookbooks.

My Journey To Healthy Living

My name is Mohana Gill and I was born in Burma, spent many years of my life in Melbourne, before settling down in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I was never an overtly unhealthy person – I enjoyed the multitude of foods available down under and especially here in Malaysia and was never really concerned all that much about what I put in my body.

I have three sons, Sanjeev, Anil and Rakesh. In our family food has always played a significant role. From the time they were babies food was always prepared  at home. My husband and the boys enjoyed a variety of food and were very discerning in their tastes.

Of all my children Sanjeev was the one who was most passionate about food and relished each and every meal. It was fun and heartwarming to see him devour food laid before him. During holidays from boarding school in Melbourne and later from University he would approach each meal with relentless fervour. Our many friends enjoyed taking him out because he would enjoy all genres of food, from hawker stalls to fine dining. I was constantly thinking of ways and means to satisfy his wide ranging appetite.
