Loss – How To Overcome Any Calamity Like A Superhero

by Guest Contributor15

sasha

Sasha Xarrian

There are many in America right now that are losing their homes.

My children and I lost our home shortly after my divorce. Losing your home, a loved one, a business, a job, or any other significant thing or person in our lives brings forth vast and unsettling emotions.

Our sense of security, identity, and safety is threatened.

We wonder if we will survive. We wonder how we will survive. We feel pain, anger and a sense of tremendous loss.

At one time or another we will all experience this in our journey through life.

Sometimes we merely survive the upset.

Sometimes we are left with unresolved anger and a lingering or lifelong feeling of unjustness and unfairness. Read More…

A Radically Different Path To Experiencing True Joy, Wisdom, Power And Abundance – Ending The “Human Game”

by Robert Scheinfeld11

Editor's Note: Before you start reading watch this special video message from Robert Scheinfeld:

Get the Flash Player to see this player.

Our discussion here begins with a discussion of The Truth of who you really are. Who you really are is what I call an “Infinite Being” – a magnificent being who lives in a constant state of infinite power, wisdom, abundance, and joyfulness. Along your journey, you’ve no doubt heard something like this:

"We are Spiritual Beings having a physical experience."lightbeing1

That’s true, but it’s the little-known True nature of our “physical experience” I want to chat with you about here.
Your natural state as an Infinite Being also includes having an unlimited desire to play, explore, and express yourself creatively. As a result, you decided you wanted to play a game called "The Human Game."

We’re all here playing The Human Game!

The Human Game - What is it and why do we play it?

I define the term “game” as anything we do for entertainment, fun, challenge, and to express ourselves creatively. As such, to me, sports and traditional games like checkers, chess, bridge, and monopoly are games. But so is painting sculpting, playing a musical instrument, reading novels, watching plays, movies or TV shows, etc.
For purposes of discussion and using metaphors in this article, however, I’m going to focus 100% on sports games. All sports games have specific structures, themes, “playing fields,” and specific ways of winning. Read More…

Who Do You Want To See More Of On FinerMinds?

robert111. Robert Scheinfeld

If you don't remember, Robert has spent over 20 years helping people change their lives through spiritual counseling. His last article on FinerMinds was a bit controversial and caused quite a stir. He talked about the "Human Game" we're all playing and how in reality, we're all infinite beings. You can check out his article over here >>

2. Raymond AaronRaymondAaron

Raymond Aaron is one of the top goal-setting gurus out there. He's helped thousands of people turn their lives around, often increasing their incomes by 2 to 3 times. We just started publishing his Polar Race series on FinerMinds (inspiring or risky? you decide) and one of his latest videos on goal getting involved your "psychic immune system." Have a look here, if you haven't already >>

rick13. Richard Luck

One of the coolest contributors we've had to FinerMinds. He wrote an article about the powers of subliminal messaging and talking to your subconscious (click here to read it) and even offered a free subliminal video that he and Noel Jones creates. Really cool stuff.

4. Janet Attwoodjanet

Janet is a visionary, a transformational leader, and a world humanitarian. Not to mention she's also famous for the creation of the Passion Test with her co-author Chris Attwood. Raymond Aaron And The Great Polar Race: Challenging The Impossible

by Editorial Team9

RaymondAaronA couple weeks ago we put up a video from Raymond Aaron, the nation’s number #1 success and investment coach on procrastination (click here to watch that video >>).

But it doesn't end there. He's about to do something that 99% of all people would call extraordinary and highly dangerous: a polar race to the North Pole. He does some pretty crazy things (one of them involves a meat freezer and a rather interesting story about a shovel) just to complete his goal.

Check out the first part of this mini-movie on the story of Raymond Aaron and how one man could accomplish so much, jump all these hurdles, and bring so much positive change to the world.

https://finerminds.s3.amazonaws.com/raymond_aaron/polar_race1.flv

Whether it's a polar race, a new business venture, a drastic life change, our lives are filled with adventure. But after watching this video, I want to know what you think:

Do you think what Raymond is doing is inspirational or just plain risky?

P.S. Stay tuned for part 2 of the movie to find out what happened to Raymond Aaron and this icy adventure.

5 Ways To Achieve The 3 Levels Of Intuition For 6-Sensory Living

by Editorial Team18

Are you still stuck living with just 5 senses?

Well, the truth is that you have 6. And that 6th one is your intuition. It's something that we all have but unfortunately only a handful of people really know how to use it to their full advantage.

It's a pity because everyday people struggle to make the right decisions, find their life's purpose, and stress out from worrying about their outcomes. But if you manage to achieve a high sense of intuition, then life will become a blessing and a joy.

sonia choquette

A lot of the ideas from this post came from Sonia Choquette and if you're interested in really tapping into your intuition, you can check out this free interview Vishen just did with Sonia.

She's been teaching people to unleash their intuition for over 35 years and has even written 14 books on the subject. They've even been translated in 17 languages! She has a PhD in Metaphysics and has even been featured on CNN, NBC, ABC, and other media.

On top of training 50,000 students, she has also been a personal Intuitive advisor to Louise Hay, Julia Cameron, Dr. Wayne Dyer, and even Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins.

If you want to know more about her or intuition, check out this interview >>

There are 3 levels of intuition as outlined by psychic and intuition teacher, Sonia Choquette and when you hit all 3, you will have success in every part of your life. The first level deals with your physical security, the second level is relational intimacy (dealing with friends, family and people), and the 3rd level is personal interest and success. Vishen just did an interview with Sonia on the 3 levels of intuition.

But before you can achieve the 3 levels, you need to sharpen your intuition so check out these 5 techniques for six-sensory living.

1. Find Solitude

The world we live in now is jam packed with information, disinformation, other people's opinions, media campaigns, etc. So it's pretty hard to differentiate between your inner voice and the voice of the external world.

Spend 30 minutes each day being alone. Whether you're meditating or journaling, these 30 minutes will allow you to get in touch with you really are and not what the world wants you to be. Take this time to let your thoughts flow and really listen to yourself. Ask yourself questions. You'll be surprised what answers come out of you.

Most people go through years or even decades without really speaking to their heart and subconscious. What happens is you wake up one day and think, "I have no idea who I am."

If you want to sharpen your intuition, you need to know yourself. You need to acknowledge your inner voice and become familiar with how it speaks to you and what it's personality is. Just like you spend time getting to know someone else, you also need to spend time to get to know yourself.

Introducing Vegemania! – For Healthy Living, Longevity and Wellness

by Mohana Gill17

mohanaI truly believe that fruits and vegetables perform a key role in our lives today and that our diet is pivotal to our wellness. A diet that consists of fruits and vegetables is far superior to all the other kinds of food that we eat.

“He who has health has hope and he who has hope has everything”

- Arabian Proverb -

And you better believe it. The world’s leading medical specialists are more and more saying how having a predominantly vegetarian diet has the potential of reducing a string of heart problems, fights cancer, helps induce fat loss and generally improve your health and wellness…

But there’s more to it than that.

Mohana Gill is author and chef of Vegemania! which received "Best Vegetarian Book In The World" and Fruitastic! which received the "Special Jury Award" by the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards. She is well known in the culinary world, with friends such as Oprah Winfrey’s chef endorsing her recipes and cookbooks.

My Journey To Healthy Living

My name is Mohana Gill and I was born in Burma, spent many years of my life in Melbourne, before settling down in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I was never an overtly unhealthy person – I enjoyed the multitude of foods available down under and especially here in Malaysia and was never really concerned all that much about what I put in my body.

I have three sons, Sanjeev, Anil and Rakesh. In our family food has always played a significant role. From the time they were babies food was always prepared  at home. My husband and the boys enjoyed a variety of food and were very discerning in their tastes.

Of all my children Sanjeev was the one who was most passionate about food and relished each and every meal. It was fun and heartwarming to see him devour food laid before him. During holidays from boarding school in Melbourne and later from University he would approach each meal with relentless fervour. Our many friends enjoyed taking him out because he would enjoy all genres of food, from hawker stalls to fine dining. I was constantly thinking of ways and means to satisfy his wide ranging appetite.

Dr. Srikumar Rao Wants Your Most Burning Question On Personal Mastery in Work and Personal Life

by Vishen Lakhiani33

srikumar1A few months ago we had an amazing article (actually one of our top rated articles) by Professor Srikumar Rao. It was called Happiness Is Your Birthright, You Have To Reach Out And Claim It!

And how right he was! The response to Professor Rao's article and Personal Mastery course taught at some of the best business schools in the world including Columbia, Haas, The University of California at Berkeley and London Business School.

But how did a business school lecturer become a personal development guru with a massive following ? And what about him caught the attention of CNN, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and Time Magazine?

Dr. Srikumar Rao is the founder of the course, Creativity and Personal Mastery, the only business school course that is so popular among students that it has a long wait list and an alumni association.

He is also the author of the international bestseller Are You Ready to Succeed: Unconventional Strategies for Achieving Personal Mastery in Business and Life.

I'll be conducting two interviews with Srikumar Rao.

And it won't be just me interviewing him. In fact, you're going to help me.

What's your most burning question for Srikumar Rao?

If you've been following them. This should be easy. If you're new to his work. Check out his website AreYouReadyToSucceed.com

Also, Dr. Rao gave an awesome talk to Google's headquarters last year. He covered of course the connection between your self-awareness and happiness as well as work life success:

YouTube Preview Image

Don't worry, I'll keep you posted on when the interview will be released.

But before then, don't forget to ask Dr. Rao you're #1 question on happiness and the workplace.

The Challenge For You:

  1. How happy you are in your work?
  2. How do you feel about your career and life path?
  3. Do you feel that you are following your passion and purpose?
  4. How can ideas from the personal development field be brought into the workplace?
  5. Does meditation, gratitude, positive thinking, visualization, intuition etc have a place in work life?

After you've posed those 5 questions to yourself, I want you to drop a comment and post this final question:

Attaining The Elusive Connection Between Setting Your Goals And Getting Them

by Vishen Lakhiani2

goal settingHey guys,

Tons of you checked out that new videos from Gary Ryan Blair on goal setting and more importantly goal getting that we were sending you last week and if you're like me, then you were probably a little shocked (but in a good way).

Gary Ryan Blair is an author, speaker, coach and consultant—specifically focused on helping people set and achieve goals.

Has worked with both individuals and corporations, and currently about 60% of the Fortune 500 companies are using the learning systems he developed.

The idea of the elusive connection that forms successes in our brain is amazing and I love the implications of what that means from a personal development point of view.

The video definitely opened up my eyes to a whole new perspective. From the idea of creating that connection between goal setting and goal getting to the pattern of successes or failures we end up in, Gary Ryan Blair made a really good point.

If you remember, there was a question posed after the video that asked: What you would like to accomplish in 30 days?. The replies were overwhelming. I thought I'd share some of the most touching ones here:

"Dear Gary, I have the hardest time in creating any goals. I feel like a dandelion seed and just travel where the prevailing winds take me. I've tried many systems, but have not found anything that helps me with goals. I'm 60, have raised 3 kids, been married for 35 years, but have an aversion (I guess ) to goal setting and achieving. It may have to do with my Dad who died before he could retire and enjoy the 'Good Life'. Your video is very good, but more help is needed for me to set and go for the goals I want.
Namaste"

- Fran

"Hi Gary,

Just like Fran above I've hit the 60+ years and have a hard time creating goals. I feel like a leaf on a river's surface floating where the waters take me.

Settings goals is difficut for me and even if I have mornings are a terribly unproductive for me. I have trouble getting started and keeping foccussed

Love to hear any positive suggestions.

Kind regards"
- Peter

"I have never achieved a goal that I wrote on paper, looked at everyday and psyched myself up on. I guess I was always waiting for the genie to appear. I guess the biggest goal I have in my life would be to find out what my true goal is."

"I agree. I am so overwhelmed with the many goals I have that I feel totally lost in even starting. Too many directions - to many choices - leaves me with stagnating procrastination. For the past 22 years I have been very successful (by doing what people told me was difficult to achieve). That gave me pupose and as soon as I reached the top, I resigned, to look for the next challenge. In 2006 my life changed completely, I stopped working and now I am really stuck in too many directions of options. Can anybody assist out there with some wise words?"
- Hannelie

"Great video and I agree setting goals is the easy part achieving them can be elusive. I have set goals and fallen short of achieving them. It is much harder to set a goal when you have failed and the more times you fail the harder it is to dream."

I can't help but notice that most of these comments have to do with following through on a goal and how to even choose a goal to start with. And it doesn't matter where you come from. Everyone's got problems with goal setting and goal getting, be it with your finances, your love life, your health, or your career.

Gary Ryan Blair

Gary Ryan Blair

I'm really glad this was brought up in the comments because Gary is hosting a teleseminar with Alex Mandossian, nonetheless, on how to pinpoint your goals, position yourself for success (he's got a cool 10-step method for this), and how to inject a lil' discipline into your life.

You guys may have realized already how much of a goal setting nerd I am. I've even done some blog posts on it and a few presentations for my team too. I've already signed myself up for the teleseminar but from what I hear there's still some spots open so if you're serious about changing your life and achieving your dreams, then check out this teleseminar.arrow-3d

Click here to sign up for Gary Ryan Blair and Alex Mandossian's exclusive teleseminar on goal getting >>

Cheers,

Vishen

P.S. Gary even reveals the "cook book technique" on getting discipline under your belt. It's helped over 80,000 organizations and 4 million people get their dreams on the right track.

Guys, this is huge.

As promised, here is my interview with Greg Habstritt, the man behind the scenes of Engage Today 2009.

It started like this. Greg and I were in the Dallas airport having some lunch and the ideas he brought up shook me. I was more than inspired by his ideas of the MVP mindset and his tactics on surviving the New Shift.

So I had no choice but to ask him to share these ideas with you guys.

Check out this interview and he'll explain what Engage Today will do to our minds and the world. We're entering a new phase of history and Greg is going to share with you the crazy ideas he shared with me and his 3-step formula to achieving the mindset that'll let you take advantage of the new rules.

I'm talking about abundance with inner peace.

This interview is so important I even whipped up a workbook for it ;) .
