Nobody likes to be told that they’re unhealthy (least of all me) but at some point you have to come to terms with what you’re doing to your body.
After all, it is a temple, isn’t it?
So if you’re ready to have a health check, then step up and take the How-Healthy-Are-You Quiz. While it won’t give you a detailed medical opinion of your health, it’ll give you a rough idea of where you stand on the health-o-meter.
After you finish answering these 7 short questions, scroll down to see your results.
It doesn’t end here though. Next week, we’ve got a special treat for you guys (healthy or not) that’s going to be really fun.
Your Scores!
If you said yes to only 1 to 3 questions…
…Then you’re probably not getting enough fruits, plants, and grains and are eating too much high-calorie, high fat foods. But don’t fret. All that’s easily changed.
And if you think you’ll never get used to the taste of spinach, whole-grains, and fruits, you’d be surprised. Try a healthy, well-balanced diet for just 2 weeks and you’ll be surprised at what your body craves at the end.
If you said yes to 4 or 5 questions…
…Then you’re on the right track to having a highly balanced diet. There are still a few things you could improve on but it won’t be as hard as you think. Take the time to re-evaluate what your current diet is and where you can make improvements.
Try writing down everything you’re eating everyday for 1 week and from there you’ll be able to see what areas you can work on. And if you’re not getting enough exercise, try walking to work, taking public transport, or even just going up the stairs instead of using the elevator.
If you said yes to 6 or 7 questions…
…Then you’re pretty much on the path to perfect health. Of course there’s always room for improvement but don’t beat yourself up on it. You’re already doing a great job.
Keep up the good work and maybe improve your health with some more exercise like running a half-marathon or even a 10-k. If you’re already physically active, then think of delicious creative meals you can share with your friends and family so that they can get addicted to healthy living too.

woohoo! I passed with flying colours
great reminder to always take care of our health first & foremost. we so often neglect it or at best, think we can out-exercise our bad nutritional habits.. love how you mention that there’s always room for improvement but to not be too hard on yourself, wise words to learn from. and it’s very true, the more people from your life that get involved, the easier it is to follow through! keep the awesome content coming.. looking forward to the special treat next week!
Warm Regards,
Evan
The questions you pose are too generalised and may give the wrong impression to people that eat low grain diets or can eat red meat because it is actually good for them.
GOOD TEST !! I NEED TO EXERSIZE AND EAT LESS RED MEAT.
Yay!!!
This quiz was a really cool reminder of how great is it to take care of yourself. Thanks for that one!
It’s awesome to realize that being healthy is not a sacrificy or something scary/very hard to do AT ALL. You pretty much enjoy a lot what you eat, what you do and how you do it. It’s very important to be honest with others about what your lifestyle consists of, it does not mean that you only mingle with healthy-junkies or you quit all the non-very-healthy-people in your life (although eventually people start doing similar things and tagging along the healthy habits hehe
and you attract other green characters) But it’s just a wonderful way to live and to share.
Really awesome content! Congrats!!! Looking forward for the next editions!
I said no to the servings questions because I don’t generally eat a lot of food at all. So in a day I might eat 2 servings of brown rice with Chinese green beans and 3–4 servings of fruit and vegetables. Maybe your servings size questions should be rephrased as a percentage of your diet? What do you think?
Here’s an issue that doesn’t come about too often — how to gain weight (or at least not to lose too much) in a healthy way?
Simple maths tells that if you consume more calories than you burn, then the weight will go up. So eating more while working out less seems to be the fastest answer
Still, I’d like to keep the physical activity level high (and to raise it), and not to have the excess calories stored as fat.
Any tips from all you healthy & active guys here? How to boost your calorie intake (and other important nutrients) on a full vegetarian diet?
