Daredevil Grandma? Why Age Does NOT Matter

I absolutely love this video.

It’s proof that age is just a number and no matter how old or young you are, there’s tons of amazing things you can do. 65 is no longer the mandatory retirement age and in fact tons of people 65 and older are making huge goals, starting businesses, going back to school, and changing their lives.

I was at Tony Robbin’s Unleash The Power Within a few months ago and was amazed when I saw an 80+ year old woman say she was here to change her life!

Check out this video and see for yourself. Drop a comment and let me know what you think of this new “ageism”.

What an inspiration! I get my knickers in a knot about so many things that turn out to be so unimportant. She’s a reminder to not be one of those who tiptoes through life, trying to make it safely to death!

What an inspiration!! Age DOES NOT matter! I’m a solo sailing grandma with my own yacht in my 60’s … I have some BIG goals I want to accomplish and this inspires me to keep focused! I think it is the big goals that keep you young!

How fantastic is this lady? How fortunate is her son. I’m 50 and having my first solo art exhibition. Why take the risk? I don’t know. I think we’re all trapped by other people’s ideas of how we should live and what we should do. We can live safely or we can dare to live the dream. Step out of your comfort zone. So what if people laugh at you? So what if you ‘fail’ something. Who cares? You’ll learn so much. Just DO IT people! Don’t wait! What are you waiting for? Permission? From whom? Why?

Be amazing! That’s who you are. Amazing! Wonderful! Beautiful! All of you!

She is a gal after my own heart. I am 73 and have always believed that trying to save my life from a disease is not my preference. Rather live what I have to the best of my ability raising the immune system with great thoughts and positive attitudes. It wouldn’t surprise me if she lives to over a 100.
She’s right too about death..It truly is not what everyone thinks it is, it is just another portal of experiences. Just ask men like Dannion Brinkley who died and came back more than once.

    Hey,

I think that your state of mind makes the differences. She also lives by her words of using the muscles available to her such as her mind her body and why not her spirit. Very encouraging!

    Love & Peace,
    Yasmina

Go Grannie Go! I’m 67 and you are a great kick in the pants for me! I also support you not ruining what time you have with an exhausting treatment that will make you sicker than you are. Pure joy has a better chance of healing! Bless your heart and bless your family.

What makes the daughter so sure that her Mom will live longer by doing the chemo?

I know a 65-year old who had the best chemo and treatments. He was gone less than 6 months after his cancer diagnosis.

The statistics of cancer recovery are intentionally skewed. We are stuck in a belief system that favors chemo, but the facts re: many types of cancer don’t justify the treatment.

When is this paradigm going to shift??

I know some people of 40 who are 70. Age is not about how old you are, rather a state of mind and an attitude and Susie is evidence of this. Life is not about the number of breaths we take, rather about the number of times our breath is taken away! Love it.

Age is a Discriminatory subject today. Age has two sides; the Positive, like Susie, who inspires the whole universe to experience. She is not afraid to live life to the fillist. The other side is the Negative, using age for illness, excuses not doing things. Only you can make the choice upon how fast you age by taking the Positive or the negative belief. Age is what you make it nothing else but a number.

I could not agree more with Mum Suzie for not having “treatment” and dying miserable and sick…What a lovely story of someone who takes advantage of every moment in HEALTH…
We should all take something from this…Life is PURE JOY…she proves that, just look at her. She certainly does not look like someone who is dying…

Suzie is absolutely right — enjoy life to the fullest ! life is for “living” and death comes only and only when u stop living. Just imagine the impact she wil make with her never-say-die attitude, in a sense she makes life eternal. love you Great Grand Suzie

Thank goodness that you have the where with all to refuse the traditional treatment for your diagnosis. My 33 year old daughter passed away after a year and a half of being misdiagnosed by her doctors. Once they figured out what was wrong her the 1st thing they wanted to do was cut (surgery) and (chemo) burn. She was gone in less than a year. My advice to you dear lady is fight that disease with the same kind of gusto that your are using to get the most out of life through your wonderful adventures. There are natural alternatives along with treatments that can turn the tide on this dreadful disease…One of the natural treatments is ATTITUDE and you certainly do have a lot of that. You clearly have another 79 years under that belt.….…There is a better way.… http://www.naturalhealthandbeauty4u.com

She has got to be an Abraham-Hicks fan and follower! For through their teachings I have learned there is no death — just the next phase as she mentioned for we are all eternal beings!
And as for the cancer, the best thing is to ignore it — for whatever you focus on grows — and this is most undesirable for cancer. On the one hand I would be very surprised if it has not cleared up and on the other hand, because we choose when we want to transition to the next phase, this could be her way of doing just that at this time. Bottom line though — she is one fantastic woman — and is living her life to the fullest and she is a great inspiration! Thank you for this opportunity to meet her.

WOW!!!! That will make you take a look at your life and wonder why you are where you are. I will take her advice to heart. I am healthy and 57 with the rest of what I hope to be many years of changing my attitude and taking her postive views forward to make the changes. I hope that I can be that type of inspiration to my grandchildren.
